Finally! Today is the day. We are leaving... we hope. Today Mike Smith and I leave for Santiago, Chile. It has been 11 days since the 8.8 mag earthquake hit Chile. Our flight that was scheduled for 03-02-10 was cancelled and had to be rescheduled to today 03-09-10. So... we have already lost a week on our travel duration and the area we planned on spending the most time in has been damaged. We will make the most of it and still have a wonderful adventure. Today we are flying out of Minneapolis, MN with a layover in Dallas, TX and a over night flight into Santiago, Chile. Today will be a long day... I am very excited to get under way. Today is the start of a amazing adventure!
