I'm looking forward to your reports on Hampi. That was one of the places we wanted to visit but obviously didn't have time to see in the pitiful three weeks we had off from work.
What an adventure! Sara: Think of us when Dec. 25 roles around, and we'll be thinking of you as the Bakers gather in State College for the holidays. It's so wonderful reading about your travels.....I think you are going to come back a Buddhist! (My colleague at the Daily News is a Buddhist and she's got great karma!) Ernie and I are so excited that Amanda will be living closer to home, it's making our holiday especially happy this year. Continue to have a safe and exciting journey. DEBI
Looking good You look like a whole new Sara, all sleek and everything. How is it that you need a vacation from a vacation? Thanks for riding an elephant for me. looks like a pretty cool experience, were there an baby elephants? Keep having fun, but remember we miss you and you should come home at some point. Lots of live, dad.
Good luck Sounds great! I am coming back to Mcleod Gang in April and May to do some development/human rights work. I would love to volunteer at your new school. Also, you might want to post on idealist.org for more volunteers or donations. Please contact me at laurenpricemiller@yahoo.com

Dirty Feet. About mum's comment on your barefoot teaching. 1- isn't it cold and shouldn't you at least be wearing sandals? And 2- can't you like clean your feet? I can see four months of built up dirt all the way from Denver..

Delighted Hi Sarabeara: I'm so glad that you have arrived at the school. What a wonderful opportunity to teach people so eager to learn, and hungry for knowledge. Just think you are opening a whole new world to your students. Your words have painted such a vivid picture of the country that the pictures will a delightful extra touch. Has Jason found any chess players yet? Love, stay well, Mom
I speak good English... Glad to hear you began teaching! And the town (city?) sounds wonderful. Just curious, what are the ages of the people you are teaching? And are women included? It's back to school back here and Jessica (Ken's neice) is adjusting to the 'Bard' way of life. She is already writing for the schools newpaper. Much love and stay dry!

Don't worry, some sections of people may not like Bush but Americans in general are a very much liked people here in India.
