What?!? I would have expected that when you found that you had issues with the internet, that you would have written everything down so that when you did get to an appropriate computer (even if that was at home) al you would have to do is copy.
Now what you need is a kindle that connects to the internet . . .
You were right about that monologue at the end though. Bassett\'s delivery was otherworldly. I didn\'t realize I was crying until she was done, I was that enthralled.
Answer to your question Dear Mindy,
I am not sure if you have gotten your answer, so I looked it up.
If I am reading my information correctly, the Pepsi Center is shared; The nuggets (basketball), The Avalanche (Hockey), The Mammoth (Lacrosse) and The Rapids (Soccer) all share the Pepsi Center. It is possible, although the website was not fun to review, that they have concerts and other events there as well. Taylor Swift had a concert on September 27th, for example. (The Rockies -- baseball -- play at Coors Field.)
Hope this helps.
Just catching up Dear Mindy,
I am reading through a small collection of blogs -- it has been a while since I had the time.
When you mentioned you were a mile above sea level, it reminded me of when we were at the Dead Sea in Israel. I don't remember how far below sea level that is . . . but it is certainly a nice comparison.
Shanah Tova! (Happy 5772!)
Hey Mindy,
Mark and I just read this and we simply cannot believe that you do not get paid for writing such wonderful critiques/commentaries. Mark still loves his memories of the Margaret Brown House, and I\'ve been happy to experience it through both of you. Mark was particularly intrigued by the notion of fainting couches and the fact that Molly sported a corset-induced 17" waist. What an amazing commentary on the times in which she lived.
"Molly" Brown That's very interesting about Maggie Brown! I had no idea that was her real name. Sounds like you're having fun with the metal detectors! ;-)
Denver Enjoy Denver! I loved it. I really enjoyed the Molly Brown house. I went by myself on tour because nobody watedto see it. I thought it was fun. I learned a lot about the time period, as well. Like fainting couches and how tight the corsets were (ouch) and that she was never called Molly!!!! Have a great time.
It's been a while. Hey Mindy! It has been a while since I have read one of your blogs and commented. I saw something about this play on some television thing (maybe CBS News Sunday Morning) a few weeks ago, and I was equally impressed, but not impressed, by the horses. Glad to learn that I am not missing much. . . other than you!
Isn't that the whole thing . . .? Based solely on your review, the question of "who was born yesterday" is the point of the play. If I understand correctly, the main character thinks his girl acts like she was born yesterday and wants her to get some education . . . however, (my guess) he learns the bigger lesson. (Am I even close?)
I saw this one . . . but I don't remember it Dear Mindy,
I know I saw this one. I think it was with Matthew Broderick, but it may have been John Stamos. However, I don't remember the story much.
Any thoughts what we will see when I am in town in June?
Looking forward to it, whatever it is.

Possibly taking Shira Dear Mindy,
Wicked is coming back to Cincinnati. I was thinking of taking Shira. She knows most of the songs, since she used my ipod. I think she will enjoy it. She is close to getting into the School for Creative and Preforming Arts, we just have to do something about her grades. I got the phone call (finally) and apparently she did too well at the audition to simply wait for next year, but her grades have to be better. She is practicing for the OAA (Standardized Achievement tests).
Hope you had a happy Passover.
(By the way, who is Steph?)
Wow You write wonderful reviews of these things. You know, I was thinking as I was reading this about a trip I took down to the Galveston 1869 Opera House a few years ago to see Mozart's "Die Zauberflote" and I was thrilled to be there, but the set was ultra-modern renditions of the originals and not what I had expected or hoped for at all. The orchestra was marvelous and the singing/acting was great, but I was somewhat disappointed at the sets/props because I found them too stylistic. They only hinted at what I think Mozart intended. The worst part was der Voglefanger's costume.
Here is a link to what I expected, but it was nothing like that in Galveston. I hope I can go again someday.
