Shag! Long time... Stu
Some six months ago you kindly left a brief message on a travelblog that I had written up from New Zealand.....and it's only now that I have happened to return to that particular blog for a quick peek, when I spotted your note to me (you may have forgotten this by now). Forgive the late response!
All is good thanks, and life's been interesting up to now...plenty of travelling overseas between making living as a cricket coach and doing other stuff...still not really bothering to do the conventional thing and marry/buy a place! It's mighty fun though. How's you mate, how's Peggy and how's the family? Some time back I had a quick sneak online and saw that you are still successfully nailing the Enfield area for all gas and other maintenance mate! Still going great guns over there? Do let me know. Best email to try from now is this one:

I am in the UK right now but only until early September when I piss off to Australia for six months on a cricket coaching job; then it's back to the UK for a few months on a regular contract, working for an independent school in Dorset as the Cricket Professional....
Stay in touch and we'll chat. I am in irregular contact with Pikey but have lost touch with the rest of the old crew.....how about you?

Greetings fellow traveller Pikester! Many memories from 94/95 emerged during the recent trip to Christchurch, and even the Wizard outside Christchurch Cathedral is allegedly still going strong, though I cannot claim to have seen the evidence at close quarters!
Hope that you are well mate - I thought of you the other day when I managed to get a copy of the Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman 'Long Way Down' DVD over here - they ventured into Uganda and I just wondered whether the great work you've carried out there on behalf of Jenga was anywhere near the route taken by the boys on their bikes!
Anyhoo (as they say in Canada), you take it easy, and if you can get over here I have a bed for you me old mucker x
Mirry Chrustmas! Hey Griggsy
Brings back memories when you mention the mansfield! Sounds like you having a great trip and congrats on coaching the boys to a win makes it all seem worthwhile! You off to QT while you down there?
Happy New Year me old mucker!

Time to refelect Hi Mike. I finally found your NZ blog. I think it might be time for you to have a rest from your hectic work and social life and update it with a few more entries. I love reading your work and wait with interest to see the next installment........! G x
Coaching cricket has drawn me to the other side of the world from the UK....New Zealand awaits, and the highs and lows of the challenges ahead will be documented here on this blog, in all their glory!
Unless I am deported in the meantime, the next seven months will be spent in the land of the long white cloud, where you can witness AT LEAST four seasons in one day if my first week is anything to go by, and where among the work-related obligations I have lined up I also aim to experience some adventure along the way...
