A slow start - Delayed flights and frustrations

A trek around the Everest region in Nepal. Initially we planned to do the Everest base camp trek, assuming the 3 passes trek would be too tricky for us without the use of porters or guides. Having met up with plenty of other trekkers planning on doing it solo though we decided to give it a go...

We are a young (ish), recently married couple off on a belated 6 month honeymoon. We will be leaving the UK at the beginning of August and plan on returning sometime in Jan (work is expecting us back the first week of Feb). We are planning on exploring India, Nepal, Burma, Laos and Cambodia depending on how long things take and how much we enjoy various areas. Elizabeth usually works in the NHS and Stephen is an engineer.
