As some of you know, I've been fighting with my bank and I've not been able to have some services available to me that are standard in the US. First, some background. Within the first week that I was in the country, I was able to get my bank account set up with one of the major banks since my manager had a contact at a locum agency that knew some high-ranking person at this bank. After finally contacting this person (she'd been out of the office with food poisoning), she was able to set up the account over the phone with me having to fax her a couple of documents.
