Excellent Blog As promised, I eventually got to reading your blog after you read mine. Your blog is very comprehensive and you have some excellent photos - where did you get the time to write it all.
Good luck with any future expeditions and blogs.
Comprehensive blog Thank you David. Here we have to confess to a little "cheating". We used a small laptop with a plug in USB broadband thumbdrive (NZ Telecom) most of the way but eventually ran into probs with uploading times (took forever!) and finally it was too hard to keep up. Sitting up late into the night in the camper when we needed an early start...and so on.
So..we decided to keep very detailed notes (Mary's diary) and then when we got home back in Perth (Aust) we did the blog in retrospect. Hope the tense and sense of "being there" was still retained.
All the best
Adrian & Mary.
Oh! by the way, your pics are pretty good also. A cut above the others we have seen. Cheers.

Whoops!! By now you have probably realised the bad weather is moving into the bottom of the south Island and they say the first of the snow is about to fall!! Don't know where you are now, but probably better to be on the move up the West Coast!! Good luck in your Crowded House, really looking forward to catching up soon.
You are so right! Left Te Anau this morning in rain and snow on the mountains by the lake overnite. Driving conditions not too flash until about midday where some blue sky appeared but the drive up from the turnoff to Queenstown had us "Oh ing and Ah ing" at the beautiful snow covered mountains either side. Kept stopping for Mary's photos and made little progress!
We are now in Wanaka at the Top 10 and the wind is howling outside............Crowded House is suddenly VERY cosy and warm.
Overnite temp is forecast -3C so we might have to snuggle up.
On to Fox Glacier tomoro, we have just heard from the tourist info here that it MAY be booked our as Franz Josef is closed due to a glacier slide and is UNSTABLE!!! so everyone has moved down to Fox.
Will keep you posted.
Wish we had brought some of trhose clothes we left at your place, have been into a few oP Shops to grab some cheap jumpers.
See Ya

So pleased weather is being so kind to you, keep up the good work re blog entries, great seeing it thru your eyes! Hard to imagine such beautiful scenery from what other people tell you, now you reallise why everyone wants to see for themselves! We loved the trip to queens town a couple of years ago but still have lots to see. I think the best way is the way you are doing it, in a camper an. Crowded House or not!!!
Blog looks great! Em and Charlottestayed 4 a sleepover last night and allwent well. We took Maya home after a bath around 7.30, although she was keen 2 stay.
Crowded House news Thanks Jane,
We are having a bit of trouble with our blogging as we are getting lots of 'drop outs' in the middle of our sessions at some of these hotspots and consequently lose everything anbd have to staret aGAIN. all very FRUSTRATING.
SO great to catch up after 20years! You both looked just the same, whereas poor me has put on "earthquake weight"! Enjoy your journey in the "crowded house" and come back smiling. Look forward to continuing saga.
Crowded House is right! At comment last able to respond.....thanks for your comment, it's helped get our blog under way....at Lake Tekapo now, see story on blog.

B&B in Salzburg Hi Paul,
only just saw your question on our old blogsite. We have been absent for a long time and have just decided to re open it as we are off again on another trip. Haven't been reading it for a year!
I don't suppose that your question is now relevant (being a year old!) but here goes.......
The place is called "Brigit's B&B" but I don't think she has a website. Just a little old lady who rents our a couple of rooms in her house. We got the place off a tourist pamphlet at the Tourist kiosk at the Salzburg railway station when we arrived. Just rang her (haven't got number sorry) and then walked to her place.
If this info is still needed I will try to dig up some more info from our old travel diaries.
cheers
Adrian.
So long you are not going to believe this........... Hi Greg & Di,
I guess this is like finding one of those old seafaring bottles washed up on the beach!
Like a "blast from the past" so to speak!
We have just re-opened our old blog as we are now off on a tour of New Zealand and came across your comment. How embarrassing that we never responded but somehow must have missed it.
ANYHOW, here we are again so if you are reading this please come along with us for the ride.
til then,
stay cool you guys
Adrian & Mary.
Re birthday Thankyou all for greetings, we are missing you too.
See my reply to Jane for update on where we are - holiday is rapidly winding down now.
Really looking forward to NOT having a 5.45am wake-up call tomorrow, Trafalgar sure covered a lot of places we would not otherwise have seen but its a breakneck pace.
Can sit up in bed here and see Eiffel Tower out the window and it really is a spectacular structure. Looks especially fantastic at night, we didnt go up because queues were too long and we were too tired.
Lots love to all xxxx
Memorable birthday Thanks Jane, yes Adrian did boost the Italian economy with some very nice birthday gifts.
Had the wind-up dinner for Trafalgar last night which coincided nicely with birthday celebrations. Great night where we walked down the Spanish Steps to a garden restaurant with 2000+yr old Roman wall along one side of the garden. Lots of rowdy singing and dancing to accompany the dinner and round off the tour on a very happy note.
Just got back to our hotel in Paris now (Fri 27/10, 9pm) after walking down to view Eiffel Tower at night and watching cruisers on the Seine. Balmy evening with crowds out picnicking on the lawns under the Tower - and its almost November!
Lovely view of the tower out our hotel window too.
Look forwrd to seeing the new house. xxx
We are starting a new blog for our forthcoming trip by campervan thru the South Is. of New Zealand.
Hope you can come along with us.
