The Summit Well - you've reached the summit, the top of the tower and the world. Well done. The strawberry tart sounds fantastic and I know Joss is a good judge of strawberries. Ev would have just loved the vanilla slice. Safe and happy journey home.
Gastronomique delights indeed Yesterday I had you back on the train to Paris and now you seem to be driving again - on freeways no less. Have you ever read any of Elizabeth David's books - she not only describes local produce and recipes but also writes on the places themselves just as you are doing. Perhaps you should follow suit. Consider yourselves lucky to have clear skies - all the East coast of Australia has been suffering from a very very bad dust storm and the resultant dust and dirt on everything had to be cleaned up today. Forgot to say yesterday that the pix of both of you were really good. Amuse-toi bien!
Nearing the end If you're doing a retrospective may we do one too - thanks for all the descriptions and photos of places which we have never seen. You've brought them to us via a click of the mouse and how wonderful has that been. I hope you're facing the right way on the train this time Joss. The sale in the attic sounds great and so do the baked sardines although Ev would disagree.
Potential PT trips??? We have been coming up with ideas about how you could put together trael programs for people. How about crossfit global? We have come across many steep hills, cross crossing pathways and the like that paleo man had to manage - and methinks it would provide plenty of challenge for crossfitters ... I would make myself available for language services of course! We could hunt out and gather up the right food at the farmers' markets and then take them home to cook! Not sure how I factor in the angelina's salon de the afternoon tea and chocolat chaud today though ....
Hmmm untapped market for PT - Mais oui! I wish I was there with you lunging up and down the cobblestones, then relaxing with saucisson and cassoulet. You have both convinced me that I need to go to France. Very soon...Montlaur here I come.
The luxury of ironed bed sheets Doesn't it make you feel proud to hear the words "sympathique Australiens"? Re the idiots wanting the church bells muted I think the same sort of thing has happened in the country villages of England. I have one question - are the items on sale at the grenier vide similar in any way to our car boot sales and markets? Again we send our love and thanks for the photo of Joss.
Who's holiday is this anyway? Don't know if you received the first attempt at a comment. So here's a repeat. Je suis desolee. Little internet access. The food, wine and sites are demanding our attention. Stay tuned and we will attempt to carve some time from our busy schedule.
Postcard We received your postcard from Fondation Bemberg in Toulouse of Braque's"La Fenetre sur Escaut" - loved to have seen the real thing. We guess you must be at your gite by now and look forward to hearing about your stay there.
Please send through title deeds Dear Mary and Jossie,
Two postcards have arrived here for us. Many thanks. Love this little neck of the woods. Please purchase house immediately and fedex title deeds to the Fish for safekeeping.

Postcard from Chartres We received your postcard from Chartres today. I'm sure it is at Chartres Cathedral where one of the very ancient labyrinths, or mazes as we now know them, is laid out in a tiled floor. The stained glass looks absolutely gorgeous and the blue is truly glorious.
Albi and Toulouse Lautrec Very interesting and I expect the musee was full of things that we mere mortals have never seen in the Lautrec books. The photos were beautiful as always and although you say that each town has its own special ambience the architecture in all of them is so very French - one look tells you that all the shots were taken in France. Also I'm with Kate - you send us this avalanche of beauty but we want more of the two stars of the show please.
Fig salad Now that's a salad that sounds perfect for me. Again the photos are great and you are both obviously getting the best use from your cameras and are giving us a coffee table book right here on our own laptops. We are really looking forward to see what Albi has to offer. Happy and safe driving.
... i like the pic of you, but it makes me miss you. All the other pics make Australia look so boring and our house look so plain. Every inch of France looks beautiful and I'm every bit jealous. xx
Toulouse non - to win Toulouse looks so beautiful - I loved the shots of the street lamp, the floor mosaic, stained glass an d particularly the carousel. When you both get home, and this is a when not an if, you should try your hand at a book complete with beautiful photographs - you're so good at the descriptive stuff. Take care and love.
Oh dear for train journey So sorry to hear of your suffering on the train journey Joss - six hours is quite a long time to be going backwards! However, I'm so glad that the diet is on the back burner, it would have been so boring for us all if it weren't. All I can say about the photos the two of you are showing to us is that it looks so French and enchanting from the rooftops to the architecture. Happy days.
Beautiful, beautiful Looks like a documentary of a "wedding in France" - absolutely beautiful. Only thing missing we would have liked to see was your hat Mary. If Charles and Hubert were the enfants you looked after, I can hardly believe it - all three of you appear to be the same age.
Grand Ah Mary! It was over so quickly but I am so glad you got there. The cravates worn by the groom's party were an interesting touch. Hubert is the splitting image of his father, n'est pas? Helen
Voyage en France - 2 sisters taking on an adventure in the French countryside. We are travelling in France to catch up with friends who are like family and see new parts of this beautiful country. ... full info
