Hi I'm the first to admit that the golf stuff is a weird one. There was no other golfer when I was there...at least a caddy got his daily salary because of me...
Next country, new one for me again, a lot less original, and Donna and Neil, this time not confirm yet as we are still on waiting list, we are using miles to get there....but in November and Feb, I've got two more new countires on the plan...seriously out of most people list...mine including! No more entries for 2 or 3 weeks, sorry....
No immigration... ...what a progressive country (hahaha!) how much time do we waste spending it in line at various Immigrations? Nice blog Peter, glad you enjoyed your short stay in DRC and agree with Liliram, how weird to play golf! Are you going to reveal where you are going next or is it a surprise? Hope the three of you are well and Leslie is still enjoying school.
Glad ur back....... It must really be so unreal to be there, and playing golf! I wonder how empty that course was, and if that was a membership golf course. Anyway, nice to know you made it back , and with these pics too to give us readers a glimpse of what you are up to this time!
Hi There seems to have a lot to do in Chiang Mai...and we will continue to discover...the pica were taken by the rafting company. Mine were really...too funny...the simple problem is focusing in the middle of a BIG wave....you can do it...but staying on the raft at the same time and making sure everybody stay safe because of my funny behavior...can make it tricky...basically...I did not know my fingers were sooo big in order to cover the ALL camera.
Next blog coming soon...I'm dealing with "serious adventures" for the moment in Saigon, but this is not travel related, andnothing to laugh about...time will tell....you just have to trust...and pray can help also...
sure looks like a lot of fun! When I think Chiang Mai, I always think elephant rides. Now I know there's lots more to do there. Hey, those are funny pics. Who took the photos?
Thanks to all for your comments Thanks a lot for all your positive comments. MTb9, I'm more than interested to hear more about ti. No I don't know and I've heard many different things, so it would be nice to give us more details, as I'm more than happy to learnabout it. Thanks a lot.
Wow, tigers are such magnificent creatures. You really only appreciate it when you see how tiny all the people look in comparison. Another interesting blog. Good to see Leslie had fun. Off to Saigon on his own? Now that's what I call starting backpacking at a young age!
Little Brave Boy Hey, Peter.....Leslie looks more "relaxed" with the big cats than you do. Just humoring you.........but lovely place. It definitely lands in my bucket list!
How sad..... I have been waiting for this blog.......knowing you would meet up with Mari's family. Glad for you that you did. Family time is always to be cherished, more so now, after losing Janos.
Your kids, more than you, needed this 'break' from your holiday. Though it is still a holiday, nothing beats feeling "connected".
i should borrow some of these photos! Your kids look so cute! It was a cloudy day when I visited Mad Ludwig's Castle.......but I didn't miss trying the apple and white cheese strudel at the nearby Schlosshotel Lisl.
Cheers, Peter.
Hi Lili It's East of Paris, few miles from Germany, and South of Strasbourg. I've been few times in the region. They have great wines, great food, wonderful architecture and very nice little villages around. We were just passing through with the kids. So more blogs coming soon...and few places where I know you've already been too! We are back in Asia soon!
Just how far is this from Paris? Lovely place, Peter. Your kids beat many of us in travel mileage! Have not been to this area. Don't even know if it is north, south, west or east of Paris. Drop me a line, and tell me how to get there. The place looks so enchanting, esp at this time of year!
This blog is just short of 10 years old. We have now move to South Africa.
Why South Africa? Simple, great wine, great food, great golf and even more amazing diving! I will for once continue to blog from time to time about home. After all, this is just my fourth continent after having grow up in Europe, lived in Asia for twenty years, and even spent a full year living the life of Buenos Aires.
Come to visit....there is so much to do here! ... full info
