Great Information Melissa,
Thank you so much for all of that wonderful information that really helped me out a lot. For some reason or the other I though that the process wouldn't have been that complicated but, boy was I wrong. Thanks girl!! I hope to be married to my wonderful fiance by the summertime. Wish me luck!!!

OMG!! OMG!! I'm sooooooo glad i saw this page, i'm also getting married to an egyptian man in December and didn't know what to expect but reading this has been a slap in the face! I though it would be like it is at home(UK) when you do it in a registry office, a private intimate affair. I'm knocked now as to what the hell to wear as i cant now turn up in a traditional dress with all of that hussle 'n' bussle going on! I cant stop laughing this is just too much!
de ja vue Wow Melissa thats exactly how it is..... I could of been writing it (only I'm British) ha what a fiasco. Hope your still married and everything is still as wonderful as it was in those heady days of falling in love with a Egyptian. I.ve been married three years and am still blissfully happy just applied for a visa to get him to UK so fingers crossed.

wonderful Melissa,
What a wonderful experience, I'm so happy that you had it, and shared it with us. Thank you.
Hoping all is well with you, Ahmed, and everyone there,
Andrew
very Intersting Madam wow,you had a quite day out Madame..I love your writings... I wonder if what do you really think of Egyptians themselves.. are they differnet and how? what can you say about your friend Marwa? and how different is she from your friends back in canada?.. what did really encourge you to come to Egypt except for travelling around ??
Reflexive !!!! For being maadian for 28 years, i'm telling you you are absolutly right for all what you say, but!!
1st of all you have to appreciate being in maadi cause thats not only the best suburb in cairo, but allover egypt
2nd you have identify the peole before dealing with 'opposite here as i live now in USA'
it will be hard at the begining but the place, the clothes, the friends and the car ;) are all points to be considered
i agree with eye contact and i want to add something to taxi drivers PREVENT touching their hands while giving them the money 'hold the money from the other tip' cause i've heared this from a lot of forign friends back in cairo
for comments plz write me on

Wow! Its sounds like an absolutly increadible experience. I cant believe that your actually over there, maybe someday I will be brave enough to travel. Hope all remains well with you..... I will check back often to read updates, Cheers!
WOW!!! Sounds great Madame! I am soooooo jealous! I may just have to come visit. In relation to some of the places we visited last March where is Maadi? Post pictures soon-stop keeping us in suspense!
Glad you're safe! Hi Melissa,
I was just thinking about you in light of the day's events. I'm glad to hear that you are safe and sound. I wasn't sure when your adventures would take you to London. Be safe and know that your Canadian friends back home are missing you and praying for your safety and complete enjoyment of your trip. Happy travels!
Sooooo Jealous!!! Wow it sounds like you are having a fabulous time! Have I mentioned that I am now green? With envy!
Enjoy the rest of your trip I see you when you get back.
I have left Egypt after living there for 4 years and am now trying life again in Canada - with my husband, of course! Will greatly miss the travel opportunites that living in Egypt gave us - I hope to get back there soon again! ... full info
