Travelin' Fever...
After two months in Thailand, are you guys learning the language? Is is hard to get around sometimes without knowing it? After the much inspired blogs and photos and words of wisdom, i decided to take a short jaunt over to Europe for 11 days. :) That's right...it was time to visit ITALIA again...and boy was it fun. It was me, my mom, and her boyfriend for a short trip, but much enjoyed (and needed.) I can only imagine how great it must be to travel like that with the one you love for TWO MONTHS! :-D What a dream. What I've discovered in my own travels (both big and small) is that we need to have them. We need to step back from our "realities" of day to day to see the wonder that exists around us-- to view everything from a curious eye once again. I am so glad that you two are having the times of your lives. Your photos are wonderful and you both look sun-kissed, happy, and beautiful. Can't wait to catch up when you get home! Best, Erica

Aww... the pictures are amazing!!! I love the underwater ones!!! Faces are priceless!!! Mikes scruffy beard is adorable--- I hope its too the point where it's soft and doesn't hurt Erin's face :) I miss your lovely faces! Say you guys. You are giving me terrible Travel Envy!! This trip of your sounds like and looks like the trip ov a lifetime. You certainly have moved around and seen a lot. I haven't kept track of your travels on a map but you sure have had some long tain and bus rides and boat rides, as well as motorcycle rides, hiking and whatever. Just think of the gazillion of memories you are piling up for the rrest of your lives!! Allan

Mike and Erin! So glad to see all the fun you're having! I even got Kevin to read your blogs and now he wants to go to Thailand - of course! You guys look like you're having so much fun . . . and yes, I agree with another person who congratulates you, Erin, on dealing with the nitty gritty of traveling. I remember those days but they don't seem anything comparedy to your experiences - especially the taxis with chickens- I love it! Be safe and we miss you!

Erin, I have to say I'm very proud and impressed with your non-girliness about some of the nitty gritty that international travel on a budget comes along with. I think you get a better view of the place you're in when you do it that way. I love all your pictures, people passing by my desk at work have commented on how beautiful they are. I love you, have fun you two!

I am happy to see you are having fun but I am also very disappointed with Mike's Vacation Beard...it has been almost a month and it looks pathetic...everyone here in the US has been waiting for a Johnny Damon type look in the photos and each time you send us a blog with photos we are left disappointed...get on it buddy....Also I think a congratulations is in order because your guys San Diego Super Chargers are looking real super at home while my Colts will soon be Champions...see you later and be very safe.

hi just happened to fall upon your blog by chance i was last in laos in 1998 and it all looks as beautifull as i remember , loved buddha park to had one of the most interesting times in my travels there , tried there local tipple yet , what a mind blower :>)
