Also Proud Hy guys. Miriam, it's not only you who are proud of Murray. We are too. That is an awesome achievement. So sad that it is necessary, but wonderful that Murray can get it done so quickly and well. Let's pray that stability returns.
Perceptive! Hey Miriam, what a deeply perceptive blog! The difference is stark. But in another way there are strong similarities. Yes, there are geographic differences, but you were clearly raised with a wide open and inquisitive mind. (A complete gift by the way!) Then is doesn't amtter where you are or who you are with. But you knew all that anyway! Yes, there is no way to describe what is going in big chunks of the world. We've been thinking of you guys as this latest tragedy struck. We will continue to pray for you all. G & J
What an upbringing! Stunning to think of the all the experiences the girls are having. What a life! Missing you guys. Having said that, the year is flying by! So you'll be over here before we can blink. Whew! G
WOW Wow, life changing for many many many refugees!
It's hard to comprehend those stats Miriam, and even harder to imagine life those thousands face daily. Incredible to hear Murray having an impact to many.
Loads of love x
Good times Hi thanks for the update and photos! Really lovely to hear from you guys. We are having good times is Whangerai - great beaches, family and church friends
Busy sana You are doing an awesome job Murray. We have friends here who have benefitted from the support they received from refugee camps over many years.
hi both, I've been thinking of you & your family over the last week, so glad you are all ok , I have to admit I assumed no news was good news & was meaning to get in touch to hear from you direct. It sounds like you have been so considered & thoughtful in the way you have addressed the tragedy with Charlotte, very impressive, given it must be a pretty frightening time for you both too. I hope still to come visit you sometime, will you be in Kenya next year do you think? X
Thanks so much for so powerfully sharing your experiences of this terrible tragedy. We are receiving messages from our Kenyan friends who live out of Nairobi - so many people have been affected. Our hearts go out to you.
Thanks for your report... and the feelings that you and your children experienced. We've gone through similar experiences so can understand the need to reflect, but then get on with normality.
Thank you Thank you Miriam for taking us through the events as they appeared to you and your family and letting us know how you feel and what you are thinking at this sad and confusing time for you and the people around you. Take care.
Thank you so much for the update, Stuart & I have been thinking of you and although knowing you were all ok still imagining what the atmosphere would be like in Kenya. You wrote beautifully and my heart goes out to all the families in pain and perhaps fear.
We are so glad you are all ok and I think the way in which you are handling it with the children is amazing. I will pray for all affected & I pray for a return to peace and calm to the beautiful country which is your home.
Sending lots of love from London Lindsey, Stuart & Arlo xxxx
See you soon! Great photos of the family there guys! That looks like a great beach holiday you had together. King George looks a bit scary though! I'm looking forward to seeing you all soon!
Our overseas move started in 2005, with a brief vacation in India. Then we joined the Tsunami relief team in Sri Lanka for a couple of years. We were then based in Nairobi, Kenya for 9yrs. Then based in Geneva, Switzerland for the past 4 years with Murray in a global role still travelling around to the hot spots. Now back in our home country of NZ, keen to explore the beauty and adventure NZ has to offer.... full info
