hey you big fat fakers oh guys, the huggy picture brought a tear to my eye. It sounds incredible and i'm pleased neither of you threw up while skydiving (no really, i've heard stories!!! apparently it's not too pleasant for the next person to jump!). I can't believe you're back in two weeks, it's scary how quickly the time is passing. we've just finished an entire radio course in less than two weeks...and i'm practically half way through. OMG. enjoy...xx
Jelly tots Oh my god, i am so impressed with everything you are doing. It all sounds absolutely amazing, and i have to say again how completely and utterly jealous i am. am lovin the tantrum transcription, i have to say (soz luc) that i could picture it very clearly, bless you dave (hehehe). I don't know how to even begin to try to rival some of the amazing stuff you've been writing about - in fact i bet you haven't done half of it and are only making it up to impress...and don't even try the photographic evidence arguement cause we all know how easy that is to fake!! :-P xx
I did think that you guys were just havin far too much fun to think of the likes of us little people at home. am lovin the pics, thank you very much! I now feel slightly less stupid even tho i didn't actually do anything!! Am particularly lovin the corks and the picture of luc with the kuala. to rival you're exciting exploits...hmm, what have i got to offer? well i will be singing a new song this term, 'As long as he needs me' no less from oliver and am currently torn about what accent to sing it in. we are also learning phonetics and subsequently accents. my welsh one is a cracker, i'm so much of a natural even the natives can't understand me. oh n we're doing our first play next month (i got a gud part luc! so chuffed!!) my exploits in oxford kick ass! can't wait for the next installment, it's such good entertainment. you guys should consider a change of career. :-) xx
Impressed luce i have to say, am very impressed and a little scared by the story of the big kite. am not surprised little tiger was afreered, poor thing, probably scarred for life.
it all sounds so incredible, am very jelly tots. keep laughing at her dave, she deserves it!!
can't wait to hear the next installment.
xx
never trust the pesky weather!! So good to hear (well read) about all the experiences you are both having (even the not so pleasant ones!!!they make me feel a little better about my present having no life because of the pressures of a 1 year drama school course!).
Still haven't figured out how to look at the pictures you have posted but that probably just cause i'm a complete numpty.
Can't believe you're experiencing such rubbish weather, can't wait to hear more.
Happy New Year Enjoying reading your blog. Just to wish you both a very Happy New Year and hope you enjoy seeing it in at Sydney Harbour about half a day ahead of us at Llandudno!! Look forward to reading next year's blog. Beth and Katie send their regards.
If ever there was a phrase that should have ahd you turning and running for your lives, the offer from a strange man to show Lucie his "huge coconuts" was it. Shame on you, Dave, for not protecting your wife in a more honourable fashion - frankly you should count yourselves lucky it was only a couple of big crocodiles you were faced with...
There was nothing wrong with the Swansea Cork Ferry!! Sounds like you're having fun although I don't envy your sleeping arrangements. Carole and Claire are out of Stricley Come Dancing and you're missing a treat!
Your adventures provide a good bit of light reading at lunchtime! Sounds like you're having a great time, but please stop mentioning the weather - you're making me very jealous. It's 2.30pm in London and it is almost dark already, not helped by the massive black clouds above us. Looking forward to the next edition...
Having a good time? It all sounds wonderfull!!! though I think I can live without some of the hardships. I'm waiting to hear about the luxury ac. I've had a quick look at the photos but will have more time when I get home. Though I did see a very strange one of Dave. You must tell us more about the food though what you were cooking looked very interesting.
You're not missing much in the cricket, hope they've had a bit more practice before you join te Barmy Army
Luang Prabang I feel like I'm getting obsessed with the weather but - pouring with rain here on a dark and dismal morning. Only good thing is that temperature now rocketing - 7 degrees this morning as opposed to 2 degrees last few days! No doubt your weather is about 25 degrees warmer. Glad you are meeting the local wildlife - our own bit of wildlife is now settling in and causing enjoyable chaos! Hope you enjoy your palatial suite at your next stop - sounds interesting, will there be a bed? Have fun. Love Mum x
Re: "flashpackers" I'm afraid the term "flashpackers" rather brings to mind the image of the two of you roaming around in dirty macs and not a lot else, frightening unsuspecting South-East Asians, and on on that basis I would be grateful if you would stop using it. Many thanks. M
PS Dave, I think it is important for your constitution that I keep you informed of United's results. After our promising start in the Levein era with the wins over Rangers and Killie, we lost on Saturday to Dunfermline. Oops.
Life is tough Have to say feel a 'small' amount of jealousy already. Having spent the last 48 hours worrying how you would cope with roughing it I don't think I need worry too much at the moment. You'll be pleased to hear the weather hasn't improved too much since our trip through to the airport. Glad it's all going well - enjoy!
Hello in Thailand Veryy glad to hear from you, how's the jetlag. Enjoy yourselves in Bangkok don't eat anything dodgy or you may regert it later and that toilet roll wont last forever.
Well, here is us on our mini-moon, and we're now about to head off on our maxi-moon. We think every couple should try to have at least two honeymoons...!
A huge thanks to everyone who has contributed to our big trip - whether that's financially through our wedding list or simply by giving us advice on where to go and where to avoid...... full info
