I'm not surprised you feel that way about Edinburgh. It is one of a very few cities that I have said I would live in. I too loved Edinburgh! I visited years ago with my father; Charles MacDonald Brown, now that's a good Scottish name! There is a fabulous zoo, you should go!
Hugs, G
Just as I remember it! Can't wait to be back - hope I'll see you there! So wonderful to see you so happy and engaged in all that's around you - much love, G
What a truly rich way to spend a day, a month, a life! Yes, it is very much the "act of" that transcends you whether working a sizable farm in the South of France or working a small band in your own backyard. The smell and the feel of the earth are primal and very much embedded in our psyche - I use to turn my garden each Spring by the full moon light and perhaps I shall do that again this year - I have let it lie fallow for the last two years to replenish. Happy digging and what gifts you'll end up with!! Big hugs, Gillian
irrigation hello lovey, i'm noticing the irrigation system and am wondering
about it... it looks something like the weeper hoses we are installing in our vegetable garden this year... is that what they are?
What a day! I want to go to THAT market and the evening fete so wonderful and you so beautiful! Spring is just bursting here - I will have to send pictures.
Much love, Gillian
Looks like a comfortable spot. Hello. Robin Ricketts from Steward School sent this link to Linda Dunville of the Steward School who then sent it to me Beau. I am Linda's son and really must compliment your efforts on that area of land, it looks like it is shaping up to be the most rich, most fertile, most exotic, most spiritual land on Earth. I hope your inspiration and motivation continues on into the future and that the bounty be abundant.
Farming Loved the pics that you sent. It sounds like hardwork agrees with you. The landscape there is beautiful. I don't think there is anything more rewarding than growing things to harvest. ENJOY!
We are off to New Orleans, but we will talk with you on Sunday.
sounds wonderful lindsey! makes me hungry for some good garden grown greens! (: i hope the work is going well, I'm sure after awhile it will become easy and second hand knowledge for you. i was reading some of robert's book you lent me, and it's really interesting. i looked for his website and found his website/blog, and was delighted to find that he had recently walked the camino de santiago as well. how strange things are connected in this way. my plan hopefully, is to graduate, hike the AT in virginia, go to wisteria summer solstice festival, meet starhawk and psst maybe get you a signed book, new hampshire, move out ):, vacation with family, and quite possibly Maine to wwoof until it gets cold. then who knows? go west? not sure. got your address, will send stuff soon.
I so understand.... one could take a deep breath there and know that they are home. It looks like a really beautiful place to live and raise a family - I'm so glad that you're there taking it all in and sharing it with us!! Je t'embrasse! Gillian
I miss you already! Lindz, I envy you for the things you are doing and the beautiful place you are now. I can wish nothing more that to be with you now and enjoy it with you. Please don't forget about your big brother and keep in touch with me as I don't know when the next time I can see you in person. I love you always and think about you more.
Just perfect, sweetie! I got off work tonight and wanted to text you:( :) I will miss you, but am delighted to know that you are where you will grow and thrive. And.... will work diligently on this end to have a toast with you on that end in the near future! Tight hugs!!

Did you not go to the BIG cathedral that took them 7 centuries to build? You can walk through the "Spanish" garden ALL the way up the hill. dreamy x
