Since I come to the United States on a regular basis, to see my children and grandchildren, I have made a habit of doing some road tripping while I am there. These trips have covered 47 of the 48 States and Alaska - twice! I never get sick of the beauty around every bend, and thoroughly enjoy being a senior solo traveller.

Over my first four trips I have covered just on 100.000 miles.

When I am home, I like to do a little solo roadtripping around Australia.

Now that Lake Eyre is once again full of water - the third time in something like 150 years - it seems that a trip there to see it is in order. Having checked out all the commercial tours available, going independently, and flying over the lake out of William Creek, will suit me best.
