Snow!! So sorry you're having mucho nieve (snow) there...told you you should have come with us!! If it makes you feel any better we had lots of cloud and even some rain yesterday...
Thanks Cherie No blog this week..can't find WI-FI anywhere here in Varadero...will have to send it next weekend after we get back...thanks for looking after the Big Sis while we're out of the way!
Nice work guys I love your blog. I was hoping Cuba wouldn't have enough gas to run noisy internal combustion engines but it sounds like Cuba is just as addicted to fossil fuels as we are. I'm looking for a place where you can't hear the sound of internal combustion engines.
I am impressed with your persistence in learning Spanish. I gave up long ago but still feel so ignorant when in Spanish speaking countries. Well done.
Enjoy Angus
Wow!!!!!! What a great blog Larry & Maureen.......I feel like I am right there with you guys. What a fascinating place.......maybe one day Deb & I will go there. Sounds like you are having a great experience & meeting interesting folks. Great pics too.
Be safe & have fun.
Peace,
Jim
So interesting! I was almost going to call other family members to see if they had heard from you.....but the good news came today....thank you for taking the time to share your experience....very interesting and I love the pics. I look forward to your next blog.
We're waiting . . . We're anxiously waiting to hear about your school and your adventures with the Cubans. Enjoy the warm weather. If you get tired of it, come visit Ontario. We have lots of snow and an extra shovel. How lucky is that?!
On the road again..... Hey L&M,
The adventurous spirit obviously knocked at your door again. Great to hear you are challenging your language skills again AND escaping colder climes, all in one feel swoop.
Just returning from 4 1/2 weeks in Australia where language was only a minimal problem, we understand the fondness for warmth, although we all appreciate some winter experiences. Ozzie language differences:
Na worries
How're you going'?

You Wear GREEN So Well! Thanks for the best wishes Kathy...but this is going to be hard work!!...all of this continuing education takes a toll on our old minds...palm trees just make it that much harder to concentrate on the lessons! Meanwhile, embrace this wonderful Canadian winter ;-)
Green This is my Green reply, green with envy, green to the gills as the flu bug has hit the school, not so green - the snow and slush, greenies - boogers and sneezes .....okay you get my point. Have fun you two (like you needed license to do that - I've seen your New Year's photos!)
After 3 1/2 months learning Spanish In Cusco, Peru in 2010, it's time to brush up on and improve our Spanish while surrounded by great Cuban Architecture and Culture... full info
