Well things have improved somewhat since my last depressed and stressed entry! My Whitsunday experience was not the sunbathing on a deck in a bikini, snorkling in warm waters, visiting sunsoaked beaches experience that most enjoy... ...instead it was a cold, wet, shivering, cloudy, windy experience...but it was still fun! I spent 3 days and 2 nights on Southern Cross. a sailing ship built in the early 70s to sail the Americas Cup. We had 2 crew (Josh the skipper and Liam the deckhand) and 14 passengers. As Josh put it, they were experienced, fun but definitely not professional. Quite frankly they were sea bums, sailing addicts, dreadlocks, boardies, laid back to the max and very friendly.
