time flies
Hey chickita! I will be in Edmoton for Sandra's wedding when you get back. Looking forward to hearing about the adventures. I am sure the Turkish men are in love with your bright eyes...they like that kinda stuff (coming from the blondish blue eyed traveller...lol). I got the holidays off we discussed for the island and Kendyl gave the green light, so some relaxing downtime is in the future! Hope you are having a blast. SBB

no kidding! Sorry, I should have let you know. I didn't know I was going until the first of April. We are now in Santorini and have decided enough of the tours...we are going to do things on our own here. Will be flying back to Athens on Sunday and then home on Monday.

The Plaka!!
Hey travelling chick! You will find from a price stand point on your travels the Plaka really seems to be the best place to get your trinkets. The walk up to the Acropolis would be so much easier if not for the HEAT! Good for you for getting up there and taking in the views. Such a huge city, eh? Good to see the blog...have fun and be safe!

Hi Lana, Darlene showed me your blog and I really enjoy reading it. But.... I do think you may suffer from a small sun stroke that may have affected your judgement. Because... it looks a bit like you are viewing everything through a pair of "rose-colored" sun glasses :) By the way I heard you missed out on the smalahove, too bad, I think you really would have liked it ;) Take care, I may see you on friday before you leave.

You're killing me!
I've been stuck in Alejuela, Costa Rica, since Thursday, trying to buy a car for Gayle (so that Annika doesn't have to ride to school in the tuk tuk) and it has suk suked big time (because I naively thought I could just put the car on my credit card, and I trusted the fact that you are supposed to carry a photocopy of your passport, rather than the original. The car dealership will not take a credit card, and no bank, nor Western Union will give me any money without my original passport, which is safely stored 6 hours away in Playa Flamingo). I wish I was with you chicas . . . it sounds like much more fun.

Hey - Yes, it's beautiful! We are waaaaayyyy up north now - Tromsø. We are flying to Bergen tomorrow and then taking a boat up the Sognefjord to my relatives. Yes, we did go up that windy road in a big tour bus and we were in the front seat. Darlene and I thought we were going over a couple of times!!! yikes!

Having a GREAT time! You would love it here!! The food is incredible. TONS of fish and seafood. Beer is super expensive - 15.00 to 20.00 a glass. We'd have to brew our own. Love ya!!
