Sorry to hear Sorry to hear about the robbery. You mention pickpocket, does that mean this was not a violent crime? I've been the the US Embassy in Guatemala website and they report about 6 violent crimes a month. It looks kind of scary there. Even in broad daylight there are crazy things that happen. Consider yourself lucky I guess!
Babyyyy! Ainsleeee! Congratulations! You're so lucky to have a girl...you don't want too many smelly boys in the house. I guess this means I'll have to come to Perth to meet the new addition. I'll jot Australia down at the top of my travel list. Missing ya! Big hugs to Warren and Hugo and little Anais. xx
baby news! Annie, I know this isn't the best place to share news, but just want you to know that you're an auntie again! Anais Elizabeth was born last sunday (May 7), a week early, and is bloody gorgeous! We are now home, and I did leave a msg on your mobi, but wasn't sure when you'd get it. Your travels are making me green.... Speak soon, yah? Pee x

Processionals Hey! Great photos. I am an adoptive father of a girl from Santa Maria Chiquimula but who was in an orphanage in Antigua. We were fortunate to be able to be there for the last 2 Easters in Guatemala. What a tremendous experience that was and you captured it so effectively with your lens. I look forward to reading more of your entries! If relevant, would you mind if I reference your work on The Guatemala Adoption Blog found at http://guatemala.adoptionblogs.com ? Thanks for sharing your journey!
Thanks Calvin! Thanks for your sympathy! You´re right about the poll tax thinly disguised as Council Tax. London sucks. At least I wasn´t mugged or held at gunpoint eh?
Hey Calvin! I´ll try to put some more up today that you can play with. Would love to see if the red helps. So you´re going to use my pix for your website? Cool! x

that was bad luck I would be rapant with rage too. I would try and justify it by telling myself i was still lucky to be able to visit this place, the scum bag who took your money and card probably will be stuck in that place wondering where his next victim will come -quel horreur ! Hopefully you are not destitute and have the other source of funds available, I think I would prefer being robbed in guatemala than in london. and the poll tax used to rob me every month there too. keep on truckin anne
What the bleedin hell is going on ere then? Hello! Was browsing and stumbled upon you two! How very strange. Hope you're both having a scream! GUess what I'm doing tomorrow - off to see Jonathan Woss again! Hurrah! Though it won't be as much fun as when we all went. I'll send the ole Woss-meister your bestest regards shall I. I'll tell him his theme tune is in serious need of a revamp and that I know just the lass to fix it for him. God I need to go to bed. Don't you just hate it when you're suddenly awake at 1.28AM in the bleedin morning!!! Jeez. Anyway, NODDY, Nodster, Noddy-noddy-noo-noo, give me a call when you're back on civilised British territory.
Oodles of love noodles,
Linda xx

Rios Tropicales? Was the company you went with rios tropicales? I used to work for them a few months ago.If it is the Alejandro I am thinking of, he is young, tico, from Paraiso? Same guy? He was awesome to work with, the whole company. I have rafted and kayaked a lot of rivers, and I would have to say the Pacuare is my favorite. Pura Vida
In the wake of my (a-hem) 30th birthday, which may or may not scar me for life, I am off to let my hair down in Central America for 6 weeks to enjoy a life of adventure and 0 responsibilities (again). What can I say, will I ever grow up?
