Thanks Thanks for sharing you travel journal with us. I feel as if I have taken the trip with you. I enjoyed hearing about your apartment and what it was like.
Great pictures ! I enjoyed reading your Sterling travelBlog. I hadn't really heard of Sterling before. It looks like a very interesting and historical place.
Glad you are home safely. I'm presuming that you had a wonderful time. I've always wanted to go to Scotland as my father's ancestors were from there......however, I have no real information on just where they were from. How neat to see a home (and what a place !) where McKinlay's lived a hundred years ago.
re: to be lost or not to be lost Good idea about GPS. Sometimes you discover new, good things while lost. But it's bad when you're trying to meet someone or be someplace at a certain time. Next trip we will use trains and buses.
to be lost or not to be lost Next time rent a car with GPS. then you won't end up getting lost. but then again, for me, getting lost can be part of the fun time during trips. don't you think so?

Correction to Salisbury information
Peter Gabriel's song is "Solsbury Hill", named for an ancient hill fort near Bath; not "Salisbury Hill".
