Very well said!
I love the way you described your visit to Roatan and AKR. I've lived on Roatan (originally from Ontario, Canada) since 2007. I'm not very far from AKR and admit other than the medical clinic I don't give it much thought. Your description of everything reminds me to not take it all for granted. I enjoyed the view through your eyes. Thank You Genevieve Ross

Great Blog!
Wow, what a well written blog - excellent photos. Sounds like you really enjoyed Roatan and all it has to offer. You were brave to do the zip line. Quite adventurous! Looks like the snorkeling spots were great. Haven't been to Maya Key, but I understand they did a good job in reinventing it for the cruiseship crowd. If you come back to Roatan, try the less congested East part of the island. Its beautiful! Marcia www.castaways-cove.com

Fantastic
You certainly put some time into this and it is greatly appreciated to live vicariously through your travels. What a trip! I most certainly enjoyed the photos of fish since we used to have a salt water tank when we lived in Georgia. Thanks for sharing!

The same experience in Keukenhoff
Sekitar tahun 1995 -1997 saya beberapa kali kunjungi Keukenhoff Park disela-sela liburan kuliah. Sy kebetulan tugas studi lanjut di University of Ghent Belgium. Taman itu betul-betul indah dan saya foto keindahan itu dalam hampir 20 roll film saat itu dan membuat saya sangat kagum dengan kombinasi warna-warni dll nya. Pengalaman yang tidak akan terlupakan....

Nice story
What a great story...I think it was called Sierra Vista Junior High School (Go Wildcats), or at least that was what it was called when I attended 7th-9th grades in the mid 70's. I to remember the drive-in theater, ( I went to Carmicheal too), I am sadden that the AW isnow gone, I am even more sadden that the old Buena is gone, while the new Buena looks nice, it doesn't have the character the old Buena had...remember the stables behind the school past the practice fields...through the wash (now a road)...thanks for the walk down memory lane. Kerry

Dutch ancesters names Kuykendall
My grandmother was 100% Dutch which I found out when I started in genealogy in 1999. Her ancesters were from Amsterdam. The first generation coming to the US in 1646 was A Jacob Luursen Van Kuykendall. I am in the 11th generation after Abraham came to the US and to New Amsterdam on the east coast of the US, which is now Manhatten Island. I have been through the Amsterdam airport several times, and would love to come and stay a few days in Amsterdam and walk around the area the Kuykendall families lived. I live in Skagit County, Washington State. We have Dutch bulb growers on the Skagit Flats and I understand Holland gets a large share of their tulip bulbs from these farmers. We have a 3 week Tulip Festival in April when the tulips are in bloom and have many thousand visitors who come to walk in the fields and take pictures. It is beautiful coming in to the airport and over the tulip fields in Amsterdam. I feel I have a connection.
