that sucks. seriously. asshole kid. when shit like this happens and it's just damn bad luck, i like to think that everything balances itself in the end... so hopefully this incident was balanced by something amazingly lucky later on, although it could be much later on...

thanks for reminding me...
that i need to appreciate it when "time just goes a little slower" too... I've gotten really frustrated a couple times with Brazil when things just don't happen, or happen really late, or just don't make sense... but i guess in comparison to western capitalist-minded urgency and discipline, it can be nice...

aww i love seeing your creative side come out! we should definitely pursue a songwriting career for you. i would suggest changing "Except to paddle for an outrigger club" to "paddle an outrigger canoe" though to rhyme with "Union boy do" - perfect, right?! yeah.

Sunglasses!!! It's been a LOT more than 5 or 6 years since you've worn sunglasses--like maybe never, or so. Glad you now have the cool beach bum look. Photography is great--love your subject matter--dogs, brides and portopotties. Now if you can only get them all into one shot. Beach, of course, is simply beautiful, but your smiling mug is better!

THIS > Macy's thanksgiving day parade. I wish they had drunk germans hanging off cranes in the Macy's parade. btw, i am dissapointed that the scientology tent did not come with a life size cardboard cut-out of Mr. Cruise with his thumbs up or something. i means seriously... who would join scientology without celebrity endorsement?

oh hi! so i have been reading your entries, just not commenting yet. i can't believe you run everywhere. you crazy. (when i have more time i'll have to tell you about the 50-mile 24-hour hike that a bunch of my dartmouth friends just did). but right now i just wanted to say that Tonga came up in my geography reading just now!: "By the end of the nineteenth century, the entire Pacific Island region (one third of the surface of the earth) had been carved up by Western colonial powers. Only the tiny island kingdom of Tonga retained an indigenous polity." Ha! cool beans. i'll comment more later, gotta finish my homework right now, but glad to hear everything is going well! (and skipping is a totally legit form of getting around. i say so.)
