Brilliant news - From: Sunboy is heading for Home!!!!
Hi Allan, Debs and the girls. Very good news and very exciting for you to do the ARC. As for the trip beyond the Carib you will have a ball and very best wishes to you all for the adventures to come. If you get chance, stay over at the San Blas Islands before going to Panama and then Las Perlas islands after Panama and keep a good look out for Whale sharks. They are harmless and HUGE! I will be very interested in hearing on your blog where you get to. Also don't forget plenty of fishing gear - nothing like a bit of fresh fish! Good luck and enjoy Philip and Jo

U Guys!!!!! What a tale you will have to tell. I really admire you all. The last 2 emails really show how much preparation and knowledge is required when living on a boat. Where do u think u will be in Feb? Caribbean? Got a month off and not really sure what I'll be doing. All depends on the $$ really. A little behind - From: Visiting the Rias of North West Spain
I have to be honest, I was a little behind. Now that I've read your family stories it keeps getting better and better. And it's so great to read thath you meet new people who travel along for a few days of more. As 'experienced' traveller I can say we always did the same. Specially when there's a click (and offcourse for Al someone to have a beer with on the front deck. Enjoy the time you still have and we'll talk over a beer in the beginning of novembre when IAMSTERDAM meets OZZIE. Have fun!!!

Hello Adventurers - From: Best days sailing - La Coruna to Portosin in Ria de Muros
Gosh I just LOVE reading the "diary". It's all so interesting. Gee I admire the family that a 4yr old on the boat. I'd be a nervous wreck. Not much happening this end, just work and what seems like not much play. Got my first uni essay back for Forensic Psychology and lucky I was sitting down as I would have fallen, I got a HD. I was completely in shock and sooooooo happy as I doubt myself all the time. Mel GArrels helped me with the structure as it had been a long time between essays and that really helped.Have heard nothing from Coffs but that's life I suppose. Jules is flat chat with basketball but they are all well. Anyway sending you all a BIG hug. Stay safe. Thinking of u. Love Fran.

Well in Holland it's not that good but my parents have just been in the south of Spain and it was a 37 degrees overthere (what a difference!!). Your pictures look grat. I don't know that much about France but they have the greatest castles and views (as everyone now can see). Happy Newyear - Gelukkig Nieuwjaar - From: A New Year begins
Hi Ozzie friends, You guys keep suprising us with great big news. This not only sounds great but must be really exciting. How inconvenient that we're in Asia right now (and till the 7th of May). So the only advice is....don't sail back home and visit Amsterdam again after the 7th of May. you're most welcome in our new home which we visited together last year. Space enough for the 4 of you. I can imagine that you like to see other countries this time, but if you pass by (and it's hard to miss), the door is open (mi casa, su casa). 2009 is going to be your year. Enjoy it and we wish you all the best!!! Loes and Patrick

You are AMsterdam - From: Last Blog of the Trip
Hi Sparkies, With a big smile on my face I've just read your last story. We had big fun! (that's a short conclusion but as true as can be) All together with a lot of stuff in a small car, drinking muntthee, eating drop, haring, zuurkool and poffertjes, racing through the city (with a special stopover at the the live lingerie show for Al), playing Halli Galli and many many more things. Yes, we had big fun! And though al the stuff you brought, had to be out the next morning, I'm sure you guy's feel the same way. We're really thankfull that you guy's came over and we're alittle jeaulous of the people who can be your close friends. You're the best! We not only hope but we're sure we'll meet again. In Ozzie/ Holland or whatever place that maybe. We'll make sure that the people in Holland keep their fingers in the dikes so you can always be welcome. Thanks again for coming over, sharing (look that's almost the same as haring) all you story's with us and let us learn from you. We can honestly say that we felt a little empty when we left home saturday afternoon. Be well, have fun and till next time. Loes and Patrick

ANZAC DAY - From: Problems with phone - new number to use
Deb & Al ,Nic & Layni, HAPPY BITHDAY Deb. Its wet Anzac Day which has been the case for the last week or so. News from OZ is the torch relay arrived in Canberra (only host city in OZ)attracted a few protesters re Tibet and now moves onto Japan. I remember seeing you run at the stadium 8 yrs ago Al! Last weekend Kev 07 conducted his summit which involved 1001 People ( the extra one was Kate Blanchets new baby) meeting in Canberra to talk about ideas & solutions and how to implement them as new policies. Locally not much to report except Council has the sacked the Deputy General Manager after over 20 yrs service. Finally in sport the Waratahs are not going to renew Mckenzies contract and guess what;they are now playing attacking/winning footy - they sit 3rd. Both the undeafeated Sharks & Cruasders were beaten last weekend. The Brumbies likewise are not renewing Fishers contract and surprise/surprise they beat the Blues in Auckland for thr the first time in 7 yrs. Go the tahs!

Hi guys, Sounds like you are having an absolute ball. Enjoying the photos. Looks a tad chilly in some!! We had a lovely Easter, just stayed at home, but, the weather was superb. Surfed everyday and really had a relaxing time. Last weekend 29-31 March had a huge w'end down at Gloucester Tops on a friends property with about 80 other old Sydney friends. The occasion was to celebrate several of those people turning 50! Needless to say it was big, but so good to catch up with everyone. Thank goodness Dave and I were a little more sensible than usual and stopped drinking early enough that we felt pretty good for the car trip home. I woke with a bit of a sore throat though - could it have had anything to do with singing do you think Alsie? Take care guys, and keep the blogs coming. Lots of love Liz xx
