Im currently in my 3rd of 4 years at Winchester Uni studying Primary Teaching with Art and have been granted a (second) gap year to go and teach in Ghana. Im leaving in January 2010 and I CANNOT WAIT!!!

Right so planning is in full swing as there is only 62 days till i leave :D had alot of ups and downs over the last few weeks. downs mainly being money worries, ups being the things i want to buy with the money i dont have!!! so basically i made a group on facebook about a week ago to keep track of all the people coming out the same time as me, and to keep in contact with them before and after etc. it has 30 members already!!! So this is my first ever blog entry. Im going to Ghana in January to teach, travel and work in an orphanage with Projects Abroad- which is a volunteer company. VERY expensive way of doing it- but it means that i get the security of staff in the country, homestay which has been checked out, and everything organised for me. why am i going?
