The biggest sombrero in the world!

the hat is not too big!
Hi Katherine, I have been trying to find both hand made large sombreros, made of straw, made in Mexico, Ecuador, etc., like the one you are wearing and also the classic hats shown on the tables, but specifically the ultra large ones, can you remember the name of the store where you are wearing this hat and if they have a web site? I saw one that was larger than the one in your picture in the Yucatan a few weeks ago with my family on vacation but I failed to go back and get it.

Re: Real?
Yes, it is real - not quite sure how or why you'd fake it! Have a look at the second video at the top if you want to see it in action.

Address for Tadeo Torres- Cuenca
I hope this gets through and you still have the address for Tadeo Torres in Cuenca, Ecuador. We were there three years ago- to the "new" one. If you have the address to write to- I would appreciate it. I saw the picture of the tree you painted- it looks great- better than the one in the old Tadeo Torres near the river.

Nice blog - congratulations on building your own home! Don't worry about kids, I've recently had a South African one criticise my computer skills.... it's not my fault the internet keeps crashing! Nice to see the pics. I see you have perfect blue sky as always. :)

Yup!
I took so many photos I had to dedicate an entire blog to the whales! Pity they didn't feel like jumping

Love ur blog and photos, Katherine!
As always, I enjoyed your blog .... even read it twice and lived vicariously through your 'beach bum' pleasures. Your photos are superb, you write very neatly, and I enjoyed the humour too. Nice to be lazy while on holiday, while others would make it a "chore". Yup, it doesn't have to be hard work. Safe travels, Katherine. Keep them coming!
