Hey everyone, So, I did actually make it home to canada, which is fantastic! The security at Heathrow was very tight and besides only having a wallet, passport and ticket with me for a 7 hour flight, it was smooth flying! I was however quite glad to say goodbye to planes for a while, getting home took 24 hours and I wasn't able to sleep much at all- until I got to my wonderful bed again that is! (Crazy the things you appreciate now). AS for everything here, I am already working at the care home, have an interview for the tutoring job today adn training for the sub list tomorrow... life starts so quickly when you get back- if you are still travelling, enjoy it! I am actually quite excited to be workign again and ... read more

Hey everyone, So I am now in Glasgow with Andrew and the band... very cool to be here when there is so much going on with the worlds, I am very excited to hear them play tomorrow and just experience it all! Edinburgh was awesome; the Fringe was on while I was there so I saw a show, did some shopping and went to the castle- it's cool being in a place you've heard about, even if it is from Braveheart! The city itself has a very funky vibe; the streets are full of performers and tourists, the mix is interesting and very exciting... I would have spent more time there if I had the chance, but off to Glasgow it is. Now, hopefully I will make it home on Monday, I am sure I will ... read more

Hey everyone, So, My time with Danielle is almost up here and I leave on Wednesday for Edinburgh and then to Glasgow on Thursday to meet Andrew; both places should be awesome and I am especially excited for the wolrd pipeband championships.... go Caledonia! Anyways, Danielle and I went hiking on Saturday to Port Erin, the beach is beautiful and the hike was exciting.... we passed over barricades to get there, so daring are we! After the hike we went to Peel for Icecream (mint chocolate chip is the best!), out for drinks with her friend Jacqui and then to the Carnival at castletown (turned out to be a little boring, but it was strange to see a very bad entertainer belting out the tunes!). Sunday was awesome even though it was raining;we went hiking to ... read more

So, I was looking for the Isle of Mann in the list and it doesn't exist... I am in a mythical land of 4 horned sheep, tail-less cats and fairies... and Danielle of course! Anyways, I am here for a week or so, then on to Scotland and then home in timefor my birthday... I am excited to see all of you but also to go and hear Andrew play in the Worlds; hopefully the weather cooperates and I don't get rained out! Anyways, super awesome news- I got a job with Elk Island on the sub list; I knwo it isn't a real job per se, but it is some almost guarenteed work adn it is teaching! Other tha that, I will write more after some more exploring of the Island, so far we have ... read more

Hey everyone, So, I haven't written in a while and probably should upadate you all on Ireland! Firstly, it is so amazingly beautiful and I am in love with it; the island has so many varied types of lanscape- from mountains to beaches and so on. The land is so very green and the sites are amazing; I have taken way too many pictures, but oh well. So, I am now on a 8 day tour of Ireland with a group of 25 other people; it has proven very exciting and I wouldn't do it another way. We started out in Dublin and then went to the Blarney Castle the first day along with the rock of Cashel; now that I have kissed the Blarney stone, which consists of leaning backwards over a drop and arching ... read more

Hey everyone, So, I have just been to the most awesome wedding... there was square dancing and pea shooters on the tables! At the rception we all had pea shooters at the tables and could shoot the paper balls at whoever we wished all dinner long- I loved it (I felt like a little kid again- it was awesome). They had a live band, a real square dance caller and like 3 hours of dancing- it was fantastic! Hey everyone, So, I haven't written in a little while, so here is the info for the past week or so: I have chilled out here in Lancing for the past week and have seen lots of my Granma's old haunts... the mission hall where she met Grandpa, the old farm, Henfield and other small villages in the downs. As well, we went to Leeds castle on Saturday and it was awesome- the castle itself is very cool and the hedge maze is actually quite hard to do- I was the first one to find the middle, but it took at least 20 minutes to do so! Once you reached the middle you went down into the grotto and then out the entrance again- it was all super cool... the best maze I have been in! ... read more

Hey everyone, So I am writing from my families home in Lancing, which is along the English Channel, right below London... it is super nice here and so I am off to the beach for today! I am loving being in a real house for a while with family and having my own room, bed and space to just hill out- a vacation from my vacation really! Anyways, I have a bunch to write about, so here goes! You heard a little about Belgium and then we were on to London via the Chunnel; however it is just a dark tunnel that you don't realize you are going in to... but very fast, so it was worth it! We got to our beautiful hostel in London and crashed; we stayed in a 10 bed dorm room ... read more

Hey everyone, So I am now in a kick ass hostel in London after having been to Belgium and back; Danielle has discovered more Buyse's and is super excited by it! We went to Brugge and spent 2 days in a bed and breakfast, which was very cool- basically a whole house to ourselves because it wasn't busy- adn then took the bicycles into the city. Danielle was super impressed with the city and the fact that there were other Flemish people there, i mostly laughed at the strange language (Dutch is a funny language to me becuase all there are are vowels!) and ate chocolate and waffles! Basically Brugges is good for relaxing, bikes and waffles... the place we stayed was awesome and we both loved it! Anywyas, I have to go now, but I ... read more
