:) Hope you are able to travel to Olympic Boulevard to see the Olympic flame. You have had an amazing journey. Once again....a HUGE thank you for sharing. xo
:) What a wonderful tribute to Maria Lenk. Well deserved after her love of the sport. We had our closing ceremony yesterday at work.. Watched the bronze medal soccer team. Our group of tenants whether in wheelchairs, walkers or limitations all have a love for sports and can they cheer:) Gotta love that. Each tenant was given a button to represent their country. To represent the Olympic flame they filled sugar cones with cheesies:) Shout out to Eric Lamaz for his bronze medal in individual show jumping. He had the fastest round in the jump of with his little mare "Lady" but one rail came down for a penalty. Her first rail down for the whole spring/summer season leading up to and including the Olympics:) Lady is adding to the "girl" power:) Of course my famous Olympic niece and nephew were a highlight of my conversations. They love to hear about you travels. Enjoy your day. xo
:) Hi Guys: As usual I can't wait to read your Blog and read about your adventures. Until now I really haven't given much thought to those who officiate at the Olympics or any other sporting event except to say they are always present and apart of the event. It gives me some idea what is involved to become an official at the Olympics. Olympians in their own rite. Must be exciting to see your friends in Rio! xo
:) Wow Wow Wow. That was an epic day for you!!!!!!!! Beyond exciting that you were able to see so many once in a lifetime events/athletes. Watched it all on the TV and can only imagine how pumped you were! I agree with you that the decathlon athletes are overlooked. They are so talented. We can hardly believe Rio is coming to an end!!!! Somehow it seems like there is still another week! Be good show tonight with Athletics:) xo
:) I couldn't agree more about the ups and downs and ALL the emotions:) :( Do agree with you when it is all put into perspective. Watched our Canadian girls Basketball team play. Exhausted after the game and I didn't play lol. Watched our Equestrian team in a jump off for bronze this morning. Jumped every jump with them but it didn't help. They can be proud as the availability of this quality of horse for the Canadian Team is very limited in contrast to other top teams. Well done Fingers crossed for individual event. Go Olympians xo
Thanks for sharing Your updates are bringing what we see from home a personal touch. Have found unplanned side trips can be the best. Cruise ship really, are you surprised. Remember winter Olympics where our hockey team stayed in the village while U.S did not. Pictures are fun and soup looks delicious. Shared your site with my walking partner and she is amazed. Watching high jump and watching our guy Drouin. Catch up tomorrow. Luv A Karen
:) Love the Wall Of Faces! Each one tells a story. The artists did an amazing job! We see some of the big artistic pieces on TV. Can only imagine how cool they are up close and personal. The Olympic Spirit was loud and crazy with Brazil's men's beach volleyball. Fun to watch. Can't wait for tomorrow's post xo
:) Bet they will remember that game for a very long time. Must of been all the cheering that helped with the win.:) Watch out for all the wild life on the golf coarse:) xo
:) Rio seems to have got it right! Good for them. Had to change the batteries in our remote! So many events to see. Beach volleyball always comes on very late and of coarse i just have to watch. Heading to word again with not enough sleep and I'm not even there lol Our channels did not carry the indoor game but could only imagine the game. See you tomorrow xo
:) It sure was exciting....I was still at work when all that excitement happened. Made sure I was near one of the many TV's. If anyone walked by they would have seen me jumping up and down cheering and of course the tears. I get so excited it just happens. The temperature was 41.8 so I was sweating like an athlete lol I'm also getting to be an expert at fixing TV's as my Olympic friends at work are not the best at channel surfing! Gotta love their enthusiasm especially when they didn't know they could do that :) Your info about the whole TV production reminded me of how much it takes for us to enjoy the Olympics. What a tribute to the Volunteers. Well done! Until tomorrow xo
:) But guys....you didn't miss anything. It rained lol I'm sharing all your adventures with tenants and keeping the Olympic spirit alive at work. Your adventures are so exciting they gather in the lobby waiting for me to walk by to share stories. :) We had our second event today. They are sporting their ribbons and pins :) Love how the little things (laundry) are an adventure. I sooooo appreciate all the fun facts! xoxo
Wow That was a very exciting day! Have fun shopping tomorrow:) Pizza....Universal:) :) P.S. For some reason I could not see the pictures you posted today! :(
