The Southern Rockhole is located in Nitmiluk National Park (Katherine Gorge) and we decided to do the 8.4km return walk early yesterday morning. We had quite a lot of rain over the weekend so we knew the waterfall would be flowing in all its glory. Streams of crystal clear water criss crossed across the walking track. The little creeks were full and we had to rock hop to get across a few. In the distance we could hear the waterfall tumbling over and I was getting so excited. The wet season just transforms the landscape. We finally made it down the valley to view the water fall and it was beautiful. The last time I saw it it was trickling over.
