Julie - that Marathon sounds crazy! I couldn't help but laugh reading it because I could actually hear you telling the story. :) Your pictures really show everyone what it is like in Alaska. A beauty most people will never see! You are so lucky, and enjoy the rest of your time there. We all miss you so much and are counting down the days until your return!!!!

I once again have to say the pictures are great! I hope you continue to take many more and keep up the great blog. My window view of the lake is nothing compared to the scenery you are experiencing and the great physical workout you get daily!

Julie! The pictures and stories are absolutely amazing. It looks so beautiful there. The $3 PBR cans are a little depressing though.. haha. We miss you so much here but I am so happy for you that you are able to experience all of this! Love you!

Fishing Guides
Julie Tell me the name of your guides there. My neice is married to a guy who is a guide I am pretty sure out of Kenai? His wife would be Sheila and they have 3 boys. Sheila's dad is my brother. He actually lives in Valdez and I have a sister who is in Anchorage. She works for BP oil and works right on the slope. My brother lived in Whittier for awhile. It is pretty amazing there isnt it? Glad you are having such a good time!! You will remember this for the rest of your life!!

Beautiful!
Julie I am so happy you are having a great time. The pictures are beautiful but I am sure they don't even compare to being there in person.

WOW!
How exciting your trip sounds! Think of the great stories you will be able to share with your students! I really admire you for going out there on your own. It has to be strange going from UWM and MPS to the great outdoors! The blog is great and I will be checking in to hear more stories!

Julie - Your trip sounds fantastic!!! I was SO excited when I got an email that you posted a blog!!! I love the pictures you posted, they really show the beauty of Alaska and the mountains. It is crazy to be in a whole different scenery because we don't have a mountain line to look out at every day - you are so lucky! I think your hiking adventures were very brave of you...good thing a bear didn't find you and eat you. ;) I can't wait to hear more from you, we all think of you every day and miss you so much! Have so much fun - you will have the time of your life!!!
