Hey!
Hi Joy! Some interesting posts you got there. How are you doing? I hope you don't miss Japan too much. I know I will when I leave. Take care.

Yum...!!!
Look at all that chocolate!!! Aren't chocolate factories fun? :-) It looks like Japan gets into Christmas about as much as Austria does. Have you seen any Christkindlmarkts over there? ;-) Keep having fun!

It is crazy how quickly the time flies! It looks like you're making the best of it! :-) I'll be anxious to see your calligraphy skills when we're both back in the U.S. ;-)

Icecream
Square icecream! Wow! I imagine someday we'll see that in the US and then you can say you had that first in Japan. Sounds like you had great fun teaching the kids. Keep the journals coming. Love, MOM

At first I didn't know if you were swearing at the ice cream but then I did see that it was actualyl in a square shape. Odd. I probably would have taken a picture of that too. Sounds like you're having a good time!

Joy, I was so excited to hear that you were in Japan. I am glad that you are able to expand you center of knowledge and go places that will offer experiences we don't get here in the US. Stay safe. The Lords' Blessings!

What a unique architectural structure to see! I bet Greg would love to see that. The little witch doll is so cute! How are you going to bring home your cool jar of fish? Looks like you're having fun with some of you're friends from BVU. Keep the posts coming! I love hearing about all your experiences. Mom

Konichiwa!
Hey Joy! Nice blog. ;-) I'm so glad to hear that you made it to Japan safely and that you're having a wonderful time! The Okonomiyaki looks delicious; I'd say you had a very nice welcome dinner. :-) You also packed just as light as I did: one suitcase, a backpack, and a purse. It made travelling so much easier! I wish you the best on your placement tests and no need to tell you to enjoy yourself, as I can tell you already are. :-) Take care!

it's interesting how it takes you going to japan for me to see pictures of your home here...which looks very nice, by the way. :)
