A lot of the Little Ko Phi Phi! I decided that I would divide my entries up so that I give you some breathing space between making it through my epic entries and deciphering my very creative spelling abilities so here’s round two for those of you who have some time on your hands!J The Ko Phi Phi ferry is a cool experience its packed with bodies on the upper deck catching some rays and sipping on a cold beer before they gracing Ko Phi Phi with their presence, I was no exception. I met some somewhat interesting Brits while soaking [View Full Entry]

Hello Hello and welcome the 1st lot of antics from Bangkok to Ko Panyi. Wow, I’m not even sure where to start describing one of the best holidays I have ever had. I think I could write forever perhaps the only place to start is on Christmas day J After very little sleep, overcome with excitement I left my apartment for the airport at 8am. Its pretty jacked getting to the airport from here, I think JHB could learn a thing or two. 30mins on a shuttle bus and I was at the airport. And at 10:45 and I was [View Full Entry]

Hi all! Wow seems like keeping up a blog religiously is a little difficult, or maybe its just because I am a little slack! I thought I best post a little update of what went on here is SK the last couple of weeks before I put up a massive entry and hordes of photos from my awesome holiday! The last couple of weeks before my holiday were trying to say the least with more lows than highs if the truth be known. I think a culmination of exhaustion from a year without a holiday, screaming kindergarten kids, some co-teacher work [View Full Entry]

I wasn’t joking in my last insert that the past couple of weeks have flown I can’t believe that this insert will have to encapsulate three weekends worth of antics…let me see ah yeh Halloween weekend…. I think Halloween is one of the most random celebrations ever but since there are 100’s of Canadians and Americand this side of the world and since the Koreans are osessed with anything western (AKA American) there were plenty of Halloween events on the go and we had no real option but to entertained the whole vibe. After a very yummy dinner of dak galbi, [View Full Entry]

It’s been a while Hello to my friends, family and any other random passers by who did a search looking for info on SK and found my blog! I’m sorry its been a while but I will put it down to the fact that more has been happening on the social scene than anything else and all that news needs no words cause the facebook photos tell their own story. I do however think that I have finally managed to rack up a worthwhile amount of news to warrant a blog insert so here we go J. Lets start with school. [View Full Entry]

Iyay I got my card today so I’ll be connected as of Monday and I’m saying roll on next Friday for payday I can’t for that either wait!! Last weekend was fairly chilled, well chilled in the sense that I wasn’t out till all hours the entire weekend but that’s not to say the weekend was without some eventful occurrences. It was Hazel, the Irish girl I met the weekend priors’ farewell last Friday night. I had been in [View Full Entry]

What a weekend - Week two in SK (its a long read :-)) Friday night and time to meet some more friends. After an exhausting week I managed to get my game face on and headed to Bupyeong on a clothes and friend finding mission. This time the mission was to scout the regular stores for some decent items of clothing (I’m well over the cheap rubbish in the markets) and hopefully casually bump into some potential friends :-D. After finding only two really cool shops (and luckily not having enough clothes shopping cash on me, otherwise I would have been [View Full Entry]

Weekend Two predictions This weekend looks like it will be spent in Seoul mostly. I’m going through to this SA braai on Saturday and maybe out for a couple of drinks and then I’m meeting up with Lauren, one of the Wanderers hockey girls who lives in Seoul. We are off to a huge cultural market on Sunday. It would appear it will be better than dong-daemun and I’m hoping that is true cause I have so few clothes over here I’m in desperate need of a couple more items. I’m hoping I’ll meet some new faces this weekend as well [View Full Entry]

The working world - Week two I started my 1st week of teaching. In Korea you add one year onto your age so I have discovered that I am teaching 5, 6 and 7 year olds and not 6, 7 and 8 year olds (doesn’t sound like a big diff but it is). The kids here are very sweet but they don’t stop screaming and they are mini robots. Its pretty chilled cause I have 1 book that I have to teach them in a month so pretty easy game and the robot nature in them helps them memorize things fast [View Full Entry]
