No, you can't have one...... because I'll end up looking after it like Beatrice............, and the pond is not big enough, or the bath-and they smell!!
Happy New Year I'm still loving the updates... Bob and I have of deciding which photo is the campest.. this week's winner is the "eating out the palm of my hand". brilliant!
Merry Chrsitmas Love the pictures. Still don't understand how you do it!. Hope you had a good Christmas. It was great to speak to you. Enjoy the New Year. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Take care. Love mum
The Wilds of Scotland Well although lacking the requisite insane traffic and 24 hour bus journeys, Scotland plans are in the making for hopefully some time ín 07!
Still listening Hi Jon and Sarah
We're still enjoying the tales of your travels - oh to be young again!
Are you going to include Scotland on your return? - we'd love to see you and hear it all first hand. Bruce and Dot
sheep dip? having grown up rearing sheep, we've done a lot of special things with our animals, however i've never seen anyone insert their arm up the sheep's rectum whilst giving them a "dip", care to explain what were missing out on in the west country?
Come up North Glad to see that you're both having a good time. If you decide that you'd like to make a trip up north on your American leg then drop me a line and I'll break out the inflatable mattress for you here in LA. I can't promise penguins or koalas or dolphins but there's a guaranteed chance you'll spot several members of the famous "silicon-breasted, bikini-clad sorority girl" species in their native habitat i.e. sunning on their front lawns, washing cars in their drive-way etc. Probably more of an incentive for Jonny than for Sarah...
Sounds like you are having a great time and the pictures are brilliant. Good to see you are getting a bit of cold and wet weather like us in the UK, however I am sure South America will be much warmer!! Keep having fun and look forward to seeing all the pictures when you eventually make it.
Glasshouses Gday Jonny,
Glad you're enjoying my fine country and all that whale spotting - inc. the ones without flippers. By the way, have you ever seen the stampede during happy hour at Krispy Kreme here in Manchester??
Cheers
O ;-)
Hi Bennie, if you get this before you get to Vietnam then the aquarium bar is in Saigon. It's called Sango Aquarium Cafe on D Thai Van Lung. It's in Lonely Planet if you have it. A bit more expensive but well worth it for the novelty factor!!
There's no escape Sarah, congrats on results! Leonie and I found a flat in E2 - you'll have to come visit when you finally get back. I also went to ceroc twice last week! Leaving for Paris in the morning, but starting work next Monday, believe it all not. And guess what, I have my first PSC exam on 18 August! You looked particularly happy on the elephant, did you see any baby ones? We had leeches, cockroaches and mosquitoes in India...the best thing for cockroaches are these smelly white pellets which can be bought locally (and very cheaply) - ask around, they'll save you many an unpleasant surprise. They look like Mentos mints, and diminish in size (they evaporate gradually). Otherwise, keep having fun!
Thailand Hi Jon and Sarah - great to hear your news- it took Dot and I back to our trip to Thailand and Cambodia- and the attacks from wild kids at Ankor Wat. Did you get to see the elephant hospital in Thailand?
Keep us up to date with the news. Love Uncle Bruce and Auntie Dot
Congrats!! Sarah, congrats on the exams!! Becks passed hers as well. You guys are making me so jealous with this blog. It certainly makes the thought of travellling more appealing, particularly when sitting in the office at 9:15pm. Now if I could just tear myself away from my home comforts.....
Hey! I just added a comment, but it didnt save here!...
Sounds like you're having a fab time! It is beautiful sunshine here... but of course we're all stuck inside at work (boo!)
Keep on enjoying yourself - it sounds thoroughly fab.
Enjoy the diving and touristy trips.
Jemima
Blazing sunshine outside... ... but we're all stuck inside at work!
Your travels so far sound fantastic (apart from the 'roaches, which incidentally do exist in the UK because I've seen them on Walthamstow market!)
Enjoy all the diving and trips to touristy places (and all the temples!)
Have fun
Jemima
On Saturday the 8th July we are off on a whistlestop tour of the world for the next 7 months. Sarah's finished 5 million years of study and i've figured this could be more fun than working! Number one aim: to visit a minimum of 10 countries and see as much as possible. Throw in some diving, jumping (with elastic i hope), climbing, farming, trekking, camping etc: our fingers are crossed for a good trip.
I’m looking forward to Sarah’s face when we see the first tennis ball-sized cockroach. And I'll try not to lose my passport... again!
And then soon enough, we’ll be back - but let's not th... full info
