WOW What an incredible journey! My favorite pics are the beautiful butterfly and the scary shot looking down the Itapu Dam (scary). Thank you for sharing!!! Do you have any pics from the six hour bus ride (of the bus or the other passengers)? How is the food? I'll keep watching for more...
Beautiful pics, hope all is well, what about Rio, I guess your having too much fun to catch us up....to where you just were. Where are you now by the way...Buenos Aires? You are definitely becoming a great photographer....love the sky pic and of course the closeups of bugs....and flowers.

Love you aunt Patti
Thank You ~ John, These photos and your stories are rich and thoughtful. thank you for sharing the details - I'm not sure I could've slept knowing about the poisinous cobras. YIKES!!!! Did you eat it, ps? ...like chicken? I didn't hear the "cut eye" story last night but that did happen on the LOST episode I watched. SMart move to outsource the stitches... What a trip, John. Thanks for sharing...
friend of sharon's This is such a wonderful story and so well written!!! And the pictures are incredible also. And I would have been scared to death if I'd known you did anything so dangerous!!!!!! (You spent the night at my house a trillion years ago with your mom and grandmother, but you wouldn't remember). Anyway, I am computer stupid, but is there any way I can get on your blog list or whatever and read all of your adventures? Thanks! Nanci
You are grounded Okay you went over the edge here. That is a very dangerous area of political unrest, the congo....fighting, militants, etc. Do you ever read the papers or the news on net. There are several areas in Africa, one should not go. And the Congo is at the top of list, Rhwanda also, no visa. If I had known this was happening, I would be in the mental institution. It was hard to read even knowing you are in Bangui as I read it. Tim should have known better. You are grounded my dear son. I forbid you to leave Boulder again. Too scary.....I love you...
great info Your stories and pics are very informative. Are you not leaving on Thurs the 16th. Carolyn mentioned something about Sat. Can't wait to see all your pics. love and miss you
greeting Amazingly I know EXACTLY what your reception felt like. When I got into Bayanga NONE of my family was there. I was instead greeted by all the neighbors who I was meeting for the first time. Lesley was in the market. Not exactly the grand reunion I had envisioned.
