To Mr Yeates and Family Sir, we saw the message you left us today. Needless to say, there were many tears coming from the 11L crowd. Believe me, we all understand why you have gone to Sri Lanka, and we all back you 100 pct. I think its amazing how your doing work there, and i bet loads of people have told you this, but well done. And im sure loads of people will come and see you when your back. I will im sure. Well its Alton Towers tomorrow, and even though i dont like heights, im sure it will be an amazing time ^^. Good luck, and carry on the good work your doing.

Re All Caught up Cheers Sue
The reference is a Swallows and Amazons one, the second daughter in the family, Mate Susan, is general organiser and domestic goddess par excellence (always sorting the camp and making sure everything is just so and that the younger children are looked after),although the comment could equally well refer to you and the miracles you used to work on our flat when you came round! I am currently reading the swallows and amazons series to the boys as bed time stories, and we are all loving them. Beats Thomas the Tank!
Hope you and Fraser and Chris continue to thrive, really would be great to catch up one of the times you are in the UK or if we ever make it to Canada!
Glad you are enjoying the blog we love it as a way both of keeping in touch with friends and loved ones, and for the ongoing record it provides of our family adventure.
Love to you all
JNJE
Thanks Gill Trying not to make people sick with envy, honestly.
Have half a feeling people at home will refuse to speak to us when we get back!
Hope things are going well back there too.
Cheers
Joe
All caught up! Today I spent Fraser's entire nap catching up on your blogs...and I have had the best time! In fact, he woke up before I'd finished and I just left him. That's the difference - I abandon my child in his crib while you are giving your boys the adventure of their lives! Not sure if I'm the susan referred to in the "susanish" comment, but it did make me laugh. And the accommodation looks almost as good as the Glasgow flat Joe!! Keep the blogs coming. We really admire your adventurous spirit and hope you are truly having the time of your lives. LOL, the Beatties x
Hello Hi Joe, I've really enjoyed reading about your adventures, it sounds as though you are all having such a wonderful time!! What a fantastic experience, I'm so envious Joe. Hope you and your family continue to have a good time. Take care, Gill x
Re Lucy and Ben Thanks Lucy and Ben, we have made lots of friends, but their names are very difficult and we can never remember them! Everybody we see, even those we haven't seen before says hello and smiles at us.
We are going swimming this afternoon to cool down!
Love to Big Jake and Sara and big hugs to both of you
hi jake and elliot your school looks really good, have you made some good friends yet? we are enjoying your travel stories especially the ones about monkeys. We are off to dig the allotment this afternooon with daddy, love to big joe and nic
love from lucy and ben
Re Maria Hi Maria,
glad the prom was good, I am genuinely sorry I missed it and was thinking of you on the day. As for the last day, well......
We are finding aspects of the trip tough, but it is so rewarding and some of the experiences are just amazing. Little lesson for life really that the more effort you put in, and the more you are willing to risk the greater the rewards can be.
I'm sure you are busy - you all should be, with exams looming as well as prom, leaving and ordinary life as well, but you now just have a few weeks really hard work before what should be an amazing summer - how fondly I recall the summer of '89. Make the most of it - it is a pretty big opporunity! Cheers Mr Yeates
Joe and Forgot Hey Chaz - is great to hear from you. Glad you are enjoying the blog, we love the comments - first thing I chack whenever I get internet access, think I am becoming addicted to checking my own blog! Just lucky internet access is reasonably restricted.
Your comments are so kind Chaz, but I feel I am still learning and seems a bit much to come in and start telling a department what to do, but they seem pleased with what I am doing so that is all that matters.
Is so hot here, but I would not want to clean the gutters out. You are right, who cares about the rain, but the odd sunny bank holiday would never go amiss!
All the best to you and your family,
Cheers
Joe
I have been meaning to write but i have been really busy sorry! WOW!! sounds like you are having an amazing time and a really great experience. Keep enjoying it:) Prom was great but The girls (laura ect) all wished you were there, so we could of seen you dance and you would of made the night even better!! I still cant believe your not going to be there on our last day but keep having a great time and i look forward to reading your other blogs:) Mariax
Joe Joe you are an eminent expert in education!
Now come on! You are too modest, but that is you and that is great!
I love the line about asking OFSTED to take over the lesson - brilliant and made me laugh. Perhaps we could spring a trap next time they come...I'd like that!
Joe you'll be a brilliant asset - of that I have no doubt.
Bank Holiday here today - a bit rainy, but who cares?
A few jobs around the house like cleaning gutters - yuk!
Off to see a bluegrass band next week : "The Toy Hearts." Great name! Great band? We'll see!
Take care to you, Joe, and your family,
Chaz
Re: nearly at the end Or another way of looking at it would be nearly at the beginning of a whole new adventure! Have you plans for the summer - I still remember my post GCSE summer fondly.
I am really sorry to have abandoned you but with any luck you do realise that this is one of the major opportunities of my life, and one of those things that we have planned for years to do with our children.
Really glad to hear that revision is taking over - not long to go and it is worth working hard now for the reward that will come later.
Enjoy Prom, Alton Towers and leaving and I look forward to seeing you some time in the future. ALl the best for your forthcoming exams Adam,
Cheers Mr Yeates
Nearly At The End! Hi Sir, Been Meaning To Comment Much Earlier But Revision Is Taking Over At The Moment. Hope Your Having A Great Time, Sounds Like You Are!! Getting Really Close To The Finish Now, Getting Kinda Scary. Proms This Week, Its Weird Cause Every Form Is Talking About Their Teacher Being There, Then Theres Us Abandoned Lot! As Per When You Werent Here On Wednesdays, Organisation Has Gone Out The Window With Us Still Not Actually Knowing Who Is Our Form Teacher Now, Mr Bedingfield And Mr Ahmed Turning Up 5 Minutes Before The 1st Lesson. Will Come And Visit When You Get Back. Have A Good Time. Adam x
Some of it really is too good But I again fail on the song recognition test. MInd you there is a massive contrast between the weekends and the weeks at the mo in terms of luxury! Boys are being stars and learning to cope with all sorts of odd things, so is only right we reward them properly when opportunities arise.
Well Done Zoe And please pass my congrats on to Kate for beating you! I am never shcoked by you getting a good score, however the opposite would REALLY shock me. Prom must be next week then - I thought it was last Friday - how out of touch I am! Hang on to your leavers book- I will sign it when I get back if you ever bother to come and see me.
Bizarrely I quite often dream about school - something I never do there. In Kandy I was woken from a dream about getting annoyed with a class of yr 7s who were making a terrible racket only to realise it was a murder of crows outside the window making all the noise (at 04:30!) Never have I so understood why a particular collective noun was coined.
The Good Life It's all really too good for simple Wolverhapmton/Stourbridge folk. "How you gonna keep 'em, down on the farm" sort of thing - if you recognise the song quotaion?
. Hi Sir :), i hope your having a lovely time on your trip, have been meaning to comment to tell you mine and kats chemistry paper scores, she got 2 40's and i got 2 36's and for once i do not mind, a good score is shocking enough! Well Dr Beddingfield has been a very lovely teacher but you can tell that he's not you, and we acheived a record, it took only till the second lesson on tuesday back for mr jacob's to be called for coral and courtney!!! Everyone is doing okay though, we all just miss you. I had a sad moment today when i got out my leavers book and was about to say i wanted you to sign it, only to remember you were not there!!!! We're all very excited for prom, and i will put up pictures asap for you to look at when you eventually accept on facebook, hope your missing us all :), have fun, Zoe x
