booooo Jimbo,
Bad luck re the late bus, the wounded feet, the robbery, the flat tyre, the deposited passport, the mad dog, the wrong date for the party, the lost scooter keys, the ear infection, the foot infection, the deafness etc
Blame it all on the full moon.
Do you mean you sang the theme tune from Rainbow the kids programme? Bet you were feeling less Zippy and more Bungle in that doctor's surgery.........
Where's the entry on Tokyo and get writing on Sydney asap!
Dear James, I am so envious....I really want to go with you.....I've had my share of Singapore Slings($1 @ ladies night-Boston) I've even had my photo taken kissing a Rhino's horn(Africa-it was asleep, maybe dead and someone told me it was good luck!) I've travelled by bus for days (Greyhound across U.S.A) I've sang thousands of songs around campsites(for Brits turn you couldn't have come up with a football song?)But the reason I can't join you...ONE toilet break in 6 hours!!!!!
flying spiders?? cows on the beach? I don't remember seeing any of that in thailand. My two greatest fears! I'm now having a relatively delayed panic attack.
Thank God there aren't any scarey creatures in Australia............
Happy New Year Jimbo
your nephews were very very impressed with the tiger pictures.....and you didn't look scared at all......
So when are you in Oz. We might be there end of Feb and would definitely put you up rent free for as long as you want!
I think the first month we'll be in an apartment found by the company and its my job to find the area (next to the beach) we were want to live.....yippeee
HOpe you had a great NYE! We couldn't go to Andrew's party as Billy has a bad dose of chicken pox.
Anyway, hope you are well. Doesn'tlook like you have put on any weight......

I had decided that I couldnt be a proper backpacker without having some kind of stupid looking facial hair and I realised that dream. I just need to work on my smell and I be a bonafide traveller
Jealous, jealous, jealous Jim, I might have to stop reading your travel blog 'cos the urge to quit work and blow my savings on another world trip is getting almost unbearable. Will have to drop you a mail so that you can fill me in on exactly how much it hurts to lose a kidney, c'mon you can tell me!
Bangkok Advice Hello m8, just flew back from Bangkok on the 5th, just missed you. Stayed up in the New World Hotel (Samsen 2 Road) just north of Khosan Road. £12 per night for two people. As per the last update watch out for the ladyboys as they are usually taller and in most cases a lot uglier than the thai girls, but some have the operation to remove the adams apple so if they have a bump on the back of their heads then they're ladyboys. Girls don't have a bump. Watch out for the Lucky Budda, Standing Budda, Vogle (Tailor), and / or Gold Mountain Scams. Tuk tuk drivers seem to change scams every couple of weeks. Taxi Drivers are the same. if you haven't discovered Khosan Road it is the main backpacker hang out in the north. Don't trust anyone who is too friendly as they are after your money or scamming you. The people that ignore you are usually not after anything. Hope that helps. Have fun and check out the following;- Grand Palace (dress code long trousers and cover shoulders (T-Shirts ok), Muay Thai (Boxing), River Taxis are only 11 Baht for long journeys, Sky Train is cool and cheap. if you can find it try Durian Fruit the smelliest Fruit in the world. have fun.
Lady Boys Hi Jim, Just a word of advice while you are exploring Thailand and trying to experience Bangkok, if the girls have an adams apple then steer clear, regardless of how pretty and friendly they are. Unless of course you are more open minded than I've given you credit for. Also, I've heard that they won't love you in the morning.......
Bangkok Bonanza Hey Jimmy C........why no news from Bangkok? Are you having too much of a fine time?
Look.........you HAVE to take your camera with you all of the time.
Did you go on the bangkok canal ride yet? Wish we were there.
Started the visa application for Oz. We can sit together on the beach and then everyone can laugh and stare at the pair of us!
The clocks went back so its dark by around 4.30/5.00 and had to scrap the ice of the car screen the other morning (all of this is untrue.....its actually 90 deg, blue clear skies and the Gov have decided to grant november as bank holiday month..............pubs are giving away free, cool, beer and the streets of London are actually paved with gold...........you MISS it, don't you......)
Hi Fran, the photo handiwork is all my own. Dont expect too many though, I almost always forget to take my camara anywhere. In singapora at the moment and flying into Bangkok monday. I will be extra carful as I dont want to wake up in a bath full of ice!
