Thursday Nov. 11 By the time we slept in, figured out what to do and see, got our bearings, and navigated the bus system to the Capitol Area, it was 2:30 pm. We had yet to eat, so we found a small restaurant, Tratoria Giovagnoli, for a quick bite. Yeah right! The ritual of eating seems to be the most important part of the Italian day, and it is hard to sit in a “real” restaurant (osteria/ tratorria as opposed to a bar) for less than an hour and a half! Not that we are complaining, since we knew and hoped that food, wine, and “il dolce far niente” would be a big part of our trip!
