so cool about the family garden idea!! i'm sure you can make it happen! isn't it amazing in a new place finding out what edible crops people MIGHT use in their home gardens?? what is typical around there?

I love that you are totally posing in the picture about snorkeling. Good luck with the garden. It takes patience. I tried it and found out that I don't actually have patience.

MMMM Lasagna!
Wow! Must have been a pricey lasagna unless it was made with RUM--considering how $$$ veggies are compared with the hard stuff! Looks delish either way... That might be the smallest cutest kitten ever! Happy to hear it found it's momma--but I also hope there's a spay and neuter clinic on the island so that the native birds have a chance...much love!

I can see you are hard at work...
Is this job all work and no play or the opposite? You seem to find friends and night life even on this small island. Just as long as you are thriving and enjoying your job, your outdoor living and people you work with I would say you have made a good choice to set off on this adventure. It is nice to hear from someone who is down to earth and realistic. You seem to be fitting in quite nicely and making the best of it. Too often visitors to these "little" islands have way too high expectations and therefore are set up to fail. Not so with you. Cheers
