Well we've been in our flat for almost a week now. Been in london for 2, and it is starting to all feel "normal" now... well apart from the fact that they offer you corn on your subway sandwiches. Looking for a job not as easy as first thought. Seems there are no dedicated IT agencies like candle or such back home. Always seems to be investment bankers with an IT branch. None of them have replied to my applications (slack asses) so I might have to go harass them next week after easter. Our flat is a basement flat (not [View Full Entry]

Been in london over a week now. staying at ISH hostel um... somewhere. westminster... near oxford st. Sorted out a bank account yesterday, which was easy enough. IEP/Bunac helped heaps with this cause it probaly would have otherwise taken a few weeks to sort one out. havnt started looking for a job yet, cause im a slack ass, and want to wait until i get into our flat in bayswater first, just so all of that is settled. Too much moving around of bags and stuff... hostels kinda suck. Havnt done too much touristy stuff, as i did it all when [View Full Entry]

Bangkok - Day 2 Asia » Thailand » Central Thailand » Bangkok
We all woke up about 8am, with healthy hang overs to suit. It was yet another overcast and stupidly humid day... hovering around 30 degrees and 100% or so I guess. We woke to some news that unfortunatly Hamish had had about 500 euro's stolen from his room, likely by the cleaners. He headed off to make a police report, while the rest of us decided to head to some markets that Trav knew of via a friend of his. We jumped on the sky train, which is an elevated rail that took us through town. We wound up at the [View Full Entry]

Bangkok - Day 1 Asia » Thailand » Central Thailand » Bangkok
Both me and Trav shared a room. 1 single bed and one double bed. We were highly amused to find that the toilet was inside a shower cubicle, and that it had its own hose tap and drain..to wash things down. The wardrobe was also in its own ex-shower cubicle (with drain). I'll put some pics up when i can get them off my camera. So we had a pretty shitty nights sleep, due to the heat, and the air conditioners being as noisy as a fat bastard after baked beans and prune juice. Got up at 8am to have breakfast [View Full Entry]

Bumpy Bangkok Asia » Thailand » Central Thailand » Bangkok
Ok, Im in the UK now, but ill start the adventure off from when I left auckland. Left auckland at 3pmish on the 28th of March. We were stoked to find out that our plane had individual TV monitors, and even games where you could play against other passengers. The multitue of movies helped heaps in passing the 12 hours of flying to bangkok. Chicken little rocks by the way...go see it. Anyway, the flight was pretty bumpy. I would say that for at least 70% of the flight, there was turbulance of some sort. I had the window seat for [View Full Entry]

In 1.5 hours I will be on my way to the airport, to goto the other side of the world, with a 3 day pitstop (drink stop) in bangkok. It'll be interesting. Spent the past 2 weeks running around between my arduous 13 hour sleep shifts, getting everything sorted for my departure. God there's a lot of shit to do for OE's. Thank god I've been overseas before otherwise I would have been a mess. So my room is clean for the first time in like 3 years, even my bathroom is clean. So if I didnt say goodbye to you, [View Full Entry]
