So this is a follow up of the last, since I'm horribly behind on my chronicling (is that a word) of my trip. Friday night I went to another get together, which regrettably, I forgot to bring my camera to. Got to meet some Bethelites (Morgan Jessica and Matthew) one of which I had met when we ran into each other out in service! Small world in the truth. Also got to meet Natalie, who everyone was telling me was in a magazine or something but no one remembers where....... On Saturday, John and Arti were taking Simon and Sian (still not sure how to spell her name) around to see sights, so Nina and her friend Megan picked me up for some around the world service. But I love South Africa!!! On the first day here, I was picked up at the airport by Sister Artie (short for Artemis, she's from Cyrpess!) Cook. It took a bit of work to find her in the airport, seeing as how I'd never thought to ask for a description or picture in the emails! On the way to the house, we stopped at a petroport to get 295 rand of petrol (don't worry, it's only like thirty bucks!) Well, this is it! I'm finally going to be going (funny turn of phrase eh?) to South Africa. If I haven't already mentioned also, I might be making trips into surrounding (or in this case, enclosed) countries like Lesotho. Now, as an American, I thought this countries name would be pronounced Leh-soh-tho, right? WRONG!!!!!! I was speaking with a sister at the Erskines' going away party by the name of Mona Mariott. She happens to have family there and was talking all about.........................................(wait for it, this will be good) Leh-soo-too!!!! In her beautiful accent, it just sounded right.
