Was a lovely surprise to receive this update from Kerrie and Grubby who are still enjoying their journey throughout USA and Canada. Looks like Grubby has found a golf course without howling wind and rain. Hope to see a few more pics from them before they head for home.... read more

On our way home, and will be pleased to touch down in Oz in a few more hours, couldn't resist this snap - as Bernie enjoys his last Tiger beer before departure from KL airport! Do hope that all have had a safe journey and that in the next couple of weeks our fellas will look forward to their usual Saturday game at Toronto. Was a wonderful experience and I am sure all are looking forward to the next get-together to share the memories and spin some yarns. I understand that this blog site has the capability to capture pics and text and save to hard copy. If anyone would like to contribute any other pics then please do, as I plan to print off a journal of the trip in the next few weeks - ... read more

Bernie and Gail are now back in KL, and heading home on Tuesday 19th Sept, others will also be on their way to remaining destinations or off home. Tonight we visited the Beggars Chicken restaurant - here you order your dish 24hrs in advance, either Chicken or Duck which is wrapped in spices, then baking paper and lastly clay before being baked in bed of ash for about 8 hrs. Great fun and the food was delicious.... read more

Have arrived in London town (well the suburbs anyway), and plan to spend last few days seeing the sights. JL and Barbara also stayed at the same B & B for a few days and I think they are now off to Malaysia on their way home. No further word from the Collo's so hope they didn't fall off the Effiel Tower. Had a text from Grubby yesterday and he tells us that Adrian walked into a pub in London on Thursday and who should he run into but Dud, Prosso, Finn and Kirri - small world! Kerry and Grubby fly to Dallas on Thursday, a safe journey to you guys.... read more

Days are flying by now, and our journey will soon be coming to an end. After leaving Wales we headed over to Stoke-on-Trent to visit the Wedgewood factory - definitely on the 'to do' list for anyone visiting the region. Had a beaut time during the morning, after purchasing entry tickets (senior discount of course) we spent time in the gallery watching the various artists/potters at work. Gail even had a turn at throwing a pot which was a great first time experience. The displays at the plant were stunning and to cap it off there is a factory outlet where some beautiful discontined lines were for sale! Aiming to spend the weekend in Kent catching up with friends, hope that all are safe on their way to various destinations. Love to hear how the golf ... read more

After lots of goodbyes/see you at the golf club etc, etc who should we run into at Windermere then Grubby and Kerry! They were also staying in the lake district for a couple of nights, so we got together for drinks and dinner. Enjoyed a quick trip around the lake (only tiny) compared to our very own Lake Macquarie took about 90 mins, but some very pretty scenery along the way. Tuesday we set off for York and spent a big day there, did all the tourist things but the highlight of the day was a street concert when four young lads sang some beautiful opera, will upload the video at next stopover.... read more
