Too many beers... .....seems to be somewhat of a theme ;) Glad you are having so much fun!! Hope Sudan is as good - can't wait to hear. And really hope we get to meet up in Nairobi!
Karnak attack Hey Chris,
Some great photos here, mate, Karnak and otherwise. Can't be bothered reading the words though. :^) Sounds and looks like you're having an amazing time. I'm well jealous!
Take care, mate.

Wow... Just wow! I'm loving the blog - your writing style just makes me want to get out of my chair and on to the next plane (well, ok, let's face it - the next train ;) )

Next time send a postcard Well this is going to be short and sweet as I,m exhausted as it has taken several calls to your Mum and Dad and about 20 mins. to get this far! Postcards and an occasional phone call seemed a lot easier in my day-25 years ago now I come to think about it but then the world was a safer place then I suppose. Anyway glad to hear you,ve arrived in Africa and survived the trip down through Europe. Now the adventure really begins! Beware of winking Arabs though- they may be friendlier than you think! I speak from experience-having once in my youth tried to buy a Djellabah in Morroco from a very friendly one and unwittingly offered myself as part of the barter! I never got the Djellabah, and he never got me I hasten to add! So hoping you enjoyed your last drink, and are now ready to go on the wagon for a month in Sudan- maybe you will develop a taste for coffee when you get desperate-I,m saying goodnight and stay safe. I'll watch this space if I can find it again!
Wink Like An Egyptian You must be pleased that your metrosexual appeal now spans two continents.
Hope it's all going well, if you're in any doubt you've done the right thing consider this - I've just done eight hours of dishwater dull publishing work, arrived home in pitch black darkness to gather up my football kit for an hour outside in the cold and the rain. I yearn for some roasting corn!
Sounds good so far, if a bit taxing at points. Keep wiring back these telegrams to keep us all jealous,
Mike
