Nice Pics Hey Ryan... nice pics -- the ones with the dolphins are amazing. I went to "A Night at the Museum" with Kyra yesterday and she is DEFINITELY ready for you to be back. Look forward to seeing some more pics. (Oh by the way its not a fridge anymore its a freezer.... it snowed again today!) ;)
Liberty for Ryan Sounds like a very VERY exciting dive site! Thanks again for calling Kyra on Christmas . It really made her day!
Bed Bugs?! No!!!!! oh my gosh you'll have to be put into isolation for sure along with your pack when you come home cause if they get into your house they will make their way into mine on Kyra's stuff. I washed EVERYTHING when we arrived home including vaccuming out anything that couldn't be washed. Lots of work but peace of mind now as we haven't discovered anything that would suspect us to think we have a problem. Bastards bugs!!! Hope your feet heal soon as it sounds a little sore Ryan.
Good job on the on the Bali...looks like you are learning almost as fast as Kyra is picking up Mandarin ;)
on to New Years in Vancouver now... Kyra has this week and next week off school.
snow, in the kootenays. Well i found myself in the kootenay mountians watching the snow fall outside. A far cry from mosquitos..
Sending you a big, warm hug halfway around the world...

weluvu Rosie and I just sat and read your blog and we're sitting here enjoying some chat and she just took second place at pinball. !! We're being snowed in - probably about 2 inches today, and still coming strong. Your Bro just headed home as he has to work tomorrow. We are missing you and also Kyra and we send loads of huggies and love from the East I's, too. Our hearts and thoughts are with you. :)
Merry Christmas Just to let you know that we received your email this am -Happy ho ho day. Loved speaking with you - Miss you soooooomuch 0X- 0X Be good to you. Love and huggies
Happy Birthday Hey Ryan,
Happy birthday -- sorry I am 3 day late but I am up in Sechelt now and have a better internet connection. Sounds like you have had the highs and lows in your last few posts... Travel can certainly be that way. I had a terrible day in Venice (hard to believe) and then the next day was amazing... anyways we are up here now and Kris says that you maybe able to MSN chat us -- so we'll be listening. Nikki says Hi and happy birthday too (just now) and Kyra has something to say.... "Happy Birthday Daddy! I'm sorry that I am late -- but I was really thinking about you your whole birthday. I was unable to write. I am really looking forward to seeing you soon and celebrating then and giving you my present. Lots of Love Kyra..."
And that was word for word!
So from me -- keep having more of the highs then the lows And keep the spirits up over christmas -- you will be home soon enough!
Greg
HBTY We love you and miss you and wish you were here to celebrate with all of us - - we'd not only cool you down, but it's white, pristine, and I've picked up the garbage along the road, too. Hope your celebration is a happy time and we're so looking forward to you being back home.
Love and huggies - - loads of them!!!
asia... Welcome to Asia Hoags, except for singapore and parts of Malayaia, I'd have to say my experience in Asia has been as filthy as yours, espeically India. It makes you appreciate Cananda for sure. Happy Birthday!!!!
hot and muggy?? hey buddy, been following your trip...i'm envious of your travels, reminds me of mine...you missed a crazy windstorm here the other week, worst in 2129 years...that's longer than Christ! Many trees fell and the power was out for a few days...
glad to hear things are rockin for ya!
That a boy Sounds like quite the adventure. Keep the blogs happening 'cause it's fun to read about it. I see England has almost lost the 4th test match in the Ashes. Doh!
Cold on ice Crazy hard to believe about the cold! Tonight, Kyra Jack Grant and I went to the Festival of Lights at Vandusen Garden and the pond was freezing and we had to pull into heat lamps three times while we toured around! Beautiful display though and Kyra loved every moment. We met Santa and he looked great! I'll send you the photo we took ASAP. Kyra whispered that she loved him into his ear and I heard him say that he loved her too. Nice hey! There is still some belief in there :) Enjoy the cold beer and keep hydrated with water.
sting ray????? By cricky, my brother the awesome underwater explorer...
If he were home he would be taking pictures of trees on powerlines, blowing winds and rain. He would also have a few nice shots of his car covered in snow from last week, and today...I saw 4 rainbows...One in sechelt, a double in gibsons and one in roberts creek....all very bold and brilliant. So, i bought me a lottery ticket so i can buy my brother an underwater camera case...just in case he needs it.

awe It must have been amazing to 'graze' along the coral reefs - things I couldn't even begin to imagine the beauty therein. Nice to know you're havin the holiday of holidays!!! We do miss you, but are happy to know you're enjoying these wonderful experiences. Love and hugs
Love Hearing from You We are armchair travelling with you Ryan, keep up the great commentaries! Talked to Kyra tonight and she is preparing my room for tomorrow night, with soaps, shampoo and gel that she picked up along the way. Doug and I are going in to Van for the weekend (I'm spending an extra night there) to Christmas shop and celebrate our 40th anniversary. Can't wait to see Kyra and Jack, oh yea, Kristina and Grant too. :) Keep having fun and be safe. Love, Sylvia
Nice photos and well composed blog So good to hear what you are up to Ryan. Good find on the Hockley Lane... I spotted a Ryan hotel but couldn't pull my camera our fast enough. It even had a big neon sign with your name...Kyra saw it too.
We miss you a lot and loved hang'n out with you for the week. It wouldn't have been nearly as fun and your company in the evenings was great!
Kyra received a great report card and I'll try and scan it in to share with you.
Yes it is cold here and yes snow is still on the ground. The flight home was such a marathon!
Sounds like we all want to be there. Winter is here for real. Major snow and wind on the coast and 20+ below here. This is great Ryan, traveling vicariosly, keep it up. Our love to Kyra and Kristina and company.
the first birthday wish. It is great to recieve these blogs....its fun to travel from my snowbound livingroom.
I am going back to the city tomorra to check up on things, after the storm.
and to meet someone on a blind date.
Say...if you come across some blundstone size 4..and can cram them in the kids bag...that would be a bonus....but i also know it could be a burden...
if its relatively easy....that would rock...
otherwise....I will enjoy the sun today, as it is showing its face....the island looks so odd with the white on it....I will snap some pics....
LOVE YOU GUYS.... jenica
surf...snow.. Its a bit of a contrast...watching the snow piling up here and imagioning the snorkeling there..
