We had a great week at camp... The kids ages 6 -14 were all friendly and wanting to get to know us better although the language barrier was more evident than at the last camp. Ujhuta is located up in the mountains and so it was gorgeous waking up in the morning. Our day would start with a devotion time with the Hungarian camp leaders at 7:00am and then they would go to each cabin and sing praise songs to wake up the children. Breakfast was at 8:00am. At 9:00am the Hungarian leaders took turns telling the story of Joseph everyday and a Bible verse. After the story time the children (and us :) ) had some freetime to play outside or games inside. 11:00am we would have small group discussion. The kids were divided by ... read more

The girls left for camp on Monday and by Monday night they called and asked that when we come to camp to bring them mosquito spray and fans to keep the mosquitos off them while they slept. There are 40+ kids at Ujhuta camp and we went there yesterday (wed ) to bring fans and spray and fresh baked bread. We stopped by a bakery that made the bread and we had to ride ther rest of the way to camp with the fresh bread smell. There is a boy about the age of 12 at the camp who grew up in West Virginia. His dad was American and mother Hungarian. So he can speak good English and the girls have been visiting with him. We were able to speak with Miklos and Edit’s two girls. ... read more

Thank you for all the prayers! Everyone is doing good and having a great time. Our schedule at this camp is from 8am until about 8pm. We have around 60 kids daily. The girls are teaching songs and Bible Verses in English. We are also doing a puppet skit daily. We are very near the Slovakian border and so we have been learning the song King of Kings and the Lord's prayer in both Hungarian and Slovakian. We are sorry that we didn't write sooner but we had no place that had wi-fi. We had great flights over and perfect landings. Everyone is fine and doing good. We arrived in Budapest on thursday and headed for Repcelak and stayed over night there and then we got up early and headed for Italy. We went by boat to San Marco and walked around Venice as there is no vechicles allowed. After we headed out and stayed overnight in Austria at a beautiful place and then we went to the home village where Judit and Mitja will live after they are married in Slovania. Then we stopped by Lake Balaton and the girls were able to put their feet into the water. This is the biggest lake in Hungary. We arrived late (10 pm) in ... read more
