Will talk when we both get back.
Hello I cannot wait to hear the details about your trip. Have a safe flight home. I almost recommended that you try taking Gravel before the flight but I realize that would be a big mistake. :)
See you soon,
Steph
Hey Great to hear from you! Very jealous of your trip. It looks like you are having a wonderful time. I cannot wait to hear all about it.
I fly out on Friday night. Sat - Tues in Amsterdam and Tues- Sun in Belgium. It will be a whirlwind trip.
Steph
huge house plant Lots of pretty pictures of things you saw but to me they look like HUGE house plants LOL
The one that you asked if it was Banyon tree is not a Banyon tree... it is the same as the one we saw near the end of our walk north of Aukland with Terry ...unfortunately I don't remeber the name. A banyon tree is similar in that is continually covers a wider area with the roots and you can walk underneath it
Quiet days are good.
By the looks of the pictures, you are really liking Australia. Is Norm concerned you won't come home? I might be if I were him.
The warm weather would be fantastic. We are on the countdown to March Break. I am sick of snow. And winter.
Heather, Glad to hear you are safe. The photos of Christchurch are devastating after the earthquake. I remember standing in front of the cathedral in Christchurch square about 4 years ago. It will never be the same.

I very much doubt I am a stronger kayaker than you. The first bit and the landing were tricky, The rest was ok - bouncing around a lot but the sea kayaks are so incredibly stable. Not much to fear about flipping unless you are silly or get caught parallel to the waves. then it is harder to stay upright. Sorry to hear it is so stormy - but hope that means one or two snow days. I am enjoying teh variety of birds and flowers here. and the warm. Take care and stay warm.
Hello Great to hear from you again. It looks like you are having a fabulous trip. I am quite certain you must be a much better kayaker than I am. I definitely would have flipped my kayak. 22 is too cold to swim for them. Yikes. They would never be able to swim here.
It was stormy yesterday and we are expecting another storm tonight. I'm not impressed. I am sick of winter and storms on a long weekend do nothing for me!
Safe travels.
Steph
Glad you are enjoying New Zealand. It is a beautiful country. I felt like I was truly in nature all the time, because the population is small and the mountains and winding roads are big.
Enjoy the weather. It has been very cold here in Ontario, although this week is to warm up to plus temperatures.
I got the Travel Blog address from Gwen. Glad to read your comments as you go along.

Hello Great to hear you have arrived safely. Unfortunately that Norm's suitcase did not but oh well. I am sure it will show up. The temperature sounds great. It is supposed to get cold again tonight and be about -10 for the rest of the week.
I cannot wait to see pictures. Post lots!
(Heard from Linda. She is in Vietnam.)
Safe travels,
Steph
Hello It is currently -9. Anything will be warmer than here.
I had to go into your blog and subscribe. I think I should get the notifications now.
