No gluten issues in France! I take it that The Wheat Belly book has not been translated into French but am fairly certain that no one in France would read it anyway!
Cognac tasting experience It's a pity you could not make a stop in the vineyards of Cognac.
Next time do not hesitate to contact http://www.cognac-tasting-tour.com, the specialist for tours and tastings.
For accommodation I would suggest http://www.relais-de-saint-preuil.com, awarded as one of the best French B&B, surrounded by vineyards and traditional distilleries.
Have a nice trip
Wow!! Interesting and fun times! I am sure you are missing us all at work and thinking about us daily as you are exploring great works of art, sipping wonderful wine, and paying a small fortune for fruit. I look forward to reading the next excerpt of your trip!
What a wonderful trip you two have had. I enjoyed your blog entries and have been discussing India with Darrel, though he doesn't seem too excited about the prospect of travelling there. We will have to meet up with you sometime and talk about your trip. Safe travels home.

Hi Gretchen and Kelly,
Your trip is sounding absolutely wonderful. Enjoy the rest of it because as I have discovered, the end of it comes way too soon.

What an adventure!! I have faithfully been reading your blog!! Sounds like you are have the time of your life. Keep up the great stories!! Look forward to seeing you soon.
End of the road. ummmmmm Enjoy the peace and tranquility at your yoga villa. No doubt you two know all about the happenings in Japan - 9.0 earthquake followed by a massive tsunami and now ensuing meltdown from nuclear power plants. To say it's a mess would be an understatement. Poor Christchurch will probably be forgotten now. So enjoy, enjoy, enjoy. So far we are safe here on the west coast. Your travel experiences sound wonderful and a world removed from all the other chaos going on. Thanks for a great update. Live in the moment.

Wow! You two are really getting "away from it all"! Just wanted to send you a note and say I'm thinking of you. Sounds like quite the adventure and just keeps getting more and more amazing. Big wind storm set to hit us today. Up to 100 km winds. Oh well. Don't worry about us!
Look forward to your next chapter!

Comments Your travel blog with the photos is excellent. I must say your trip sounds exciting with many unusual twists and turns, besides the driving. Accommodation sounds good and most nights you seeme to have great and clean rooms for comfortable sleeps so you can survive the next days travels. It is nice the locals are treating you well and make you feel like celebrities by appearing in photos.
I will have to get a Google map and follow your trip to see where you have been and are going. All is well here and we arrived home on Feb 23. Today Sunday we have about 3-5 inches of snow but now at 5pm the rain has washed most of it away.
Matt's mom and step dad are stressed out over the damage to Christ Church due to the quake. Family is OK but many have lost homes and possessions. They said many are planning to leave and mybe locate elsewhere on the Island or move to Australia. I hope your family did not suffer fram the quake or after shocks.
Keep on bloging as the trip sounds fantastic.

Brave Moped riders Hi Happy Birthday Gretchen. A couple of days late.. Kelly made me laugh with the image of his legs sticking out from your moped as you cruised down the road. He is lucky his knee caps survived. Sounds like a great adventure.
Good writing Sounds like you two are having a great time! Neat pictures. I enjoy reading about your exploring and experiences with the locals. Have a great time and be safe!! See you in 9 weeks.
Mumbai Your promenade "Marine Drive" was surely an experience that must be meticulously notated in the 'Around and About Vancouver' chronicles! All 'kidding' aside.....what an awesome adventure already guys.....cannot await the next blog.... with baited breath...xo
