Hi Both, Well, I think these are the most amazing phots yet- can't wait to see them on TV screen. The blog, as always, is entertaining and informative. Will have thick hoodies ready as you are leaving temperatures of 37 and coming to 7!!!! Enjoy the TAJ. Love from Dave and Louise xx

Vietnam
Hi Both, a variety of experiences in Vietnam and journeys too and fro. Don't fancy the long bus journeys or border waits... so was it 27 + 5 hours??????? Sounds a very different culture from anything so far.... you're so right about the western reaction to their lifestyle and conditions. The boat trip looks fantastic - the caves are mind boggling. Will look out for a phoenix on a turtle though I fear I have missed the boat, so to speak! Love the pic of Lindsay on back of bike... was that genuine bewilderment? Not long till you are back in the hills of Nepal... the Annapurna Circuit looks a real challenge. Take care... see you on the 5th April. Love you. Louise and Dave xx

Elephants
Hi Both, your account of your Thai boxing had us in stitches... mobility exercises needed for future attempts. The elephant experience looked and sounded brilliant.... just love the pic of both of you on Tumcun.... the elephant looks really fetching wearing your hat George. You know they never forget anything? Only six weeks left so make the most of every minute and charge up the memory banks. Take care. Love from Dave and Louise xxxx.

Snakes alive.
Hiya, the view from the Star Huts is just my dream of Chillville! One day................. Can't say I like the sound of the caves and snakes.... might give that one a miss. As for the hitch hiking cockroach... can just hear the screech when Lindsay discovered it in her bag. Not much longer now but still some amazing vistas to view and of course the Annapurna Circuit - looks arduous but well within your capabailities as globe trotters. Starting to count the days till you are back..... take care and enjoy the rest of your trip. Love Mum x

I miss you guys and thanks for the post. I keep looking knowing you were going to the east so now I know. It has been a warmish winter here in the northwest and flowers are starting to bloom. I am getting anchy for sping and know you all will enjoy the UK in April after in the hot sticky places your visiting now. Julia is going to Germany in late April to visit our daughter Dayna and is stopping at Heathrow for an hour and half on April 27th. Not enough time for a visit. We are thinking though of going to Europe again in the summer of 2011 and possibly hiking in Italy through Austria. What is your wedding plans? I doupt you are waiting that long, but it would be good to visit again. Love ya. Kevin

Wine buffs
Hi Both, I must be slipping up cos Dave read this BEFORE me! Mendoza does look rather attractive... even we could hack it there! No photos of sand boarding ....disappointing... unless they are on your camera. There must be another memory stick due for posting! Heard about the communal keep fit in the park in Santiago.... wish I could have watched that... beats line dancing. Safe trip across the Pacific..... it's mighty big, even on Google Earth on the pc screen. Hear from you in NZ or Singapore. Temp in Nz around 24 and 12 at night but in Singapore 32 by day and 25 by night- phew. Hasta Luego mes amigos. xxxx

Today in Switzerland five people died in Avalanches. A huge snow hit them in the Alps. Great to hear from you two. Ask the Argies how many presidents they have had in the last ten years. It is because of the World Bank activities that frankly the Argentinas people stood up to them well. That country is a great country because of that. The people took over factories and said no more debt because of the bad deals of their former presidents. So have a great time with those people and I would love to hear more about them. Happy new year.

That just brought a wee tear to my eye! You look so happy and are obviously having a great time. Happy New Year to you both. I wonder where you are off to next? It's Baltic back here in Bonnie Scotland and we have even been out sledging!! Hoping to head to Lake of Menteith this Sat to view the Grand Challenge curling match which hasn't taken place there since 1979!! That's how cold it's been!!

Butch Cassidy
Hi Both, Fantastic photo of both of you with the ruins in the background- have added it to our own "World Tour" album we are creating. Now this is a place we would love to visit, though I fear we would have to go the more direct tourist route, but we wouldn't wear flip flops! Have visitied some of your destinations on Google Earth..... brilliant experience especially when you go down to "street view". I see the little mishaps are still following you around George!! Hope the flood did not include raw sewage? Have you seen Butch Cassidy yet? Have a lovely Christmas wherever you may be and hopefully speak to you soon. Take care. Lots of love from The Fergies xxxxxxxxxxx

How can you top this journey? The scenery is breathtaking and so wild. You will have trouble choosing which photos to have made into proper pictures to chart your journey round the globe. I presume the donkeys can only turn to the right... worrying! Look forward to next chapter. Take care. Adios y hasta luego mes amigos. Louise
