31, female, lives in New Orleans, vegetarian, travel obsessed!




I started backpacking when I was 18, the first trip was to Mexico- via a really long route considering where I was coming from- and using nearly every mode of transportation. Those standby flights, chicken buses, pickup trucks in Cozumel with Texas tags, water taxis and trips to the hardware stores to get Western Unions (no cc or atm card back then) made a lasting impression and over a decade later traveling is still my favorite thing.

I've spent semesters studing abroad in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands as well as in Oaxaca, Mexico. If I had it to do over I'd probably have spent every semester somewhere different! Along the way I've gotten to visit every country in Central America, some great islands in the Carribean, Manchu Picchu in Peru, and a number of fantastic places in the United States (west coast, new england, the south!).
I'm getting ready to take my first trip to SEA and am really excited to be visiting Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia, so I thought it was about time to begin a travel blog so I can take some friends along in heart if they can't be there in person! Happy trails!
