Questions re: Sukhothai. Hi there. We are flying in on the 21st of Dec. How did you find your guide...Promuen?
Also, did he meet you at the airport or did you go to your hotel first? Also, how did you get to your hotel and approx. how much was the fare? I think our hotel told our husband it was like $18 pp for a ride. I think that sounds excessive, but just trying to guage the market. Thanks for any help you can offer.
Also, your post was great and the pics were even better! Sounds like fun! Can't wait!
WOW! You two are so brave! This is quite an adventure. I've spent the morning (3/5) reading your travelblog and enjoying the photos. I'm so computer illiterate I couldn't figure out how to start at the beginning. So, I started at present and worked backward. I can't even imagine what a unique experience this will have been. I really enjoyed all your commentary. Should I travel that direction, I'll have a good idea of what to avoid/visit as you've done the research firsthand for the rest of us. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences!
ingredients You're in luck! We are growing a kaffir lime tree in our citrus grove. You're welcomed to come harvest anytime. And, we have purchased galangal (aren't we the exotic chefs) from a store here in Vacaville.
The picture of Leona-the-longneck is priceless!
heh heh ... Oops, I forgot to say that comment regarding ingredients was from me, Roxane! We miss you ..... have played tennis the past two sunny days, but other than that it's been rain, rain, rain. BTW, that whole fish in banana leaves looks AWEsome! Wishing you happy tuk tuk rides, keep the great posts coming.
Wat is a wat? Actually, I know what a wat is, but wat the hell, I couldn't resist! I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to do this blog -- what a great gift it is to your friends! I'm enjoying it enormously, savoring it, in fact. Dare I say it is almost as delicious as shrimp and cocount tips in curry? Washed down with Singha, of course. More, more!!
Its a small world full of different interesting cultures, languages and history. So we are taking time to visit and check it out
