Hi Everyone, Africa has been absolutely amazing. We started off in Zanzibar where Em celebrated her birthday in style in our 5 star resort. The hotel was just out of this world and we were upgraded to a suite overlooking the ridiculously turquoise sea. On the big day itself we also managed to blag the 'private diners table'.....just us two in our own right on the beach. Needless to say it was one of the highlights of the trip so far. Hello everybody, Finally we are on a computer that we can spend a bit of time on. Thought you might like to hear what we've been up to. Udaipur, Mount Abu, Jodpur and Jaisalmer Udaipur started with a bang. Some mix up with our hotel meant they not only moved us to a different room to the cool one we'd prebooked but they tried to move us to a different hotel on the second night. A couple of hours haggling, Em falling down some stairs, and a lot of ranting later......we were given a free night and moved into the best room in the place the following day. Bundi and Chittorgarh From Pushkar we took our first taxi ride assuming this would be absolute luxury compared with the buses we'd seen racing around. We were wrong. We arrived in Bundi after a pretty awful journey. The roads were probably the worst either of us have ever been on and nobody told our driver what the white lines in the middle of the road are for. Anyway, we got there safely if a bit battered from all the bumps on the road. First impressions were not great. Hi everyone, We've finally reached a place where the internet seems to work relatively well and know you must all be desparate to find out what we've been up to. So last thing we told you about was Delhi....here's what happened next..... To get away from the mayhem of Delhi we took the 11.30pm overnight train to Ajmer Junction. The station proved easy enough to negotiate with trains labelled in English and with Chris' idea of punctuality being 30 mins early we were there in plenty of time. The Beginning - Delhi And so it begins ..... ! As the plane landed in Delhi, we began to brace ourselves for the inevitable mayhem and cultural shock that was about to greet us.
