Seems like you guys had a great time in Southern California. I'm sad to see you didn't make it Santa Barbara. It is much better than Ventura an their beaches and it's much more beautiful! I recently just got back and we had such a wonderful time. We stayed at the Sandman Inn (www.thesandmaninn.com). Really affordable and in a great location, it was close to everything we wanted to see and do in town! Just a tip!
Amazing, Grace I love the photos...even the one of the fouled plug...heh, heh. Glad you had Micah, your master mechanic, along. Am trusting the one true Master to bring you safely back east...eventually!
Marvelous I'm marveling at God's goodness as He's blessed you with weather by His grace, fabulous and helpful friends who have added flavor to your visits by helping you to experience a little of their hometowns, and patch-up jobs on your trusty rolling "home". I've taken your advice and am absorbing Phillipians 4:6&7 desiring to continue to manage the details of the next weeks!
Enjoying your Blog Hi
We were at your mom's for Easter, had a nice day there, I said to your mom, that reading your blogs was really nice and it sounded like your really enjoying your trip. The USA is a beautiful area, there is so much to see, I think you could cross the country a dozen times and not see everything. The trips Uncle Al and I have taken on the motorcycle will remain with me for the rest of my life, it's just like reliving our trips when I read your blogs about the things you are seeing. We hope when you return to your mom's that we will be able to come down and see you all, looking forward to hearing all your stories. Take care and safe journey. Love, Aunt Nancy
Amazing! Hope you found some aloe cream after all that sun! Amazing sunset! Thanks for the news -- glad it was only a thing-a-ma-jig that fell over the wall. Yikes!
Amazing skies.... Yes, we just can't get over thee skies after being in lovely gray Beijing ;)
No, microwave or fridge, and sleeping inside is quite cozy ... in fact the little ones roll off their seats and land on me several times throughout the night!
Happy road trippin'! Hey Eberz! Looks like you're all having fun and making some fantastic memories together. Be safe. Hope to see you in PA later this year!
Comments and pictures are great Enjoying your pictures and comments. The country is beautiful. I have never been to CO and any place west of Kansas. (flew over it all to get to CA) These were some of the places Uncle Jim and I would have liked to have seem. Goes to show never put off things and places untill tomorrow.
Have a safe trip and enjoy, I am praying for you all.
Aunt Beth
need more info we love it! We would like to know where you all sleep in the Beast (aside from Sim). Please provide pics! Do you have a microwave and fridge too? Also the sky is amazing!!!!
Rockies Hey, Kay. Remember our trip out west when we only took your new camera along...and none of my photos came out?
Well, glad you all got some picks, although dirving is a snowstorm is not for the faint of heart. Hope you have good brakes, and can downshift on the mountain roads!
Nearing Peublo, CO Wow, the Great Sand Dunes are just west of Peublo -- and I think that is where my dad took us when Betty Kay was about 2 years old. We drove to visit his brother in Denver.
Found you! Somehow I read through your blog backwards. Actually that was so cool!
Amazing to see how blessings come from so many different people. We were in North Carolina a couple weeks ago, while you were hitting the road. It was so uplifting for us to see family and friends, and seemed like a great way to warm up to YOUR travel adventures.
Thanks for sharing such interesting snapshots of what interests you!
Arkansas Wow -- you timed this trip perfectly. Last time we drove through Arkansas as a family, the mosquitos almost carried me away! And I only stepped outside the car (at dusk) to pump gas.
Balaam Funny, I was just reading that story again. It is know among the tribes as "Balaam's ass" -- which reminds one not to be greedy...or avoid the lure of riches.
Guess you could use some riches to keep your beast on the road. Let me know if you need assistance.
...and the blog is great!
gotta love 'em KOA's so nice... we are enjoying the vicarious life of clean mountain air and fresh valley flowers. thanks for sharing! God is good and it's fun to see His handy work. Ur in our prayers... :0
